Re: Older players - what did you enjoy about playing on /tg/?
There is a core difference between interactive play and noninteractive, and I'm definitely more someone learning towards the former even if means making something less reliable or less all-powerful an answer. More chance to engage with what is happening, even if it is at a position of weakness, adds...

Re: Malf AI's and crowbarring hacked APCs
To borrow your own comparison from the Manuel discord, I see this interaction as less similar to an antagonist buying soap to clean up the evidence of their crimes, and closer to an antagonist finding out that if they perform a specific set of actions with an esword prior to using it, it will leave...

Re: Malf AI's and crowbarring hacked APCs
I cannot imagine very many people would see an APC in maintenance with its cover open and think "ai's malf" first thing. (Tegun's correct, though. It should show on sprite regardless if it's crow-barred or not.) And yet a flipped open APC is already a red flag that something has happened ...

Yulice was right about goof PRs always being exploitable. I really want to throw an assemblybomb at someone and watch them die instantly. I hope gibbing isn’t damage determined and is instead devastation range determined only. It's dev AND damage, assuming the dev explosion could do 200 damage to y...

Most likely this is occurring due to unattended consequences of a testmerged PR. Frankly, as sec, I'm happier when a tot hits the comms console to summon in something nastier so we can have some actual action going on. This is what I get for reading the title wrong. But you know what, you can still do something equivalent as a non-antag. Start fires. Always gets people panicking.
Get some plasma. Grind it into a beaker (1 sheet = 20 units). Toss it into a room with a broken light (it has to have the broken tube in so it sparks) or lit lighter. It'll spill and aerosolize the plasma. Run.
Congrats, on the spot fire.

Re: Should admins tell ahelpers whether the offending player was noted/banned?
You got the 'its handled' line because A) admins don't necessarily ban on first offense, so saying if it was or not is irrelevant and notes aren't anything you, the ahelper, should care about because it is only for informing future interactions with the player. B) it might have had good reasoning/mi...
