Re: Stories of rage, tears and regret

So you don't just play doctor, you do it frequently? Christ you must be the sluttiest spaceman around. You don't quite seem to understand - playing as a doctor does not involve ERP, at least not with absolute certainty, and I do not partake in it. I play a 52 year old man with frostbitten testicles...

You can throw things at electrified grills to break them. I use this to escape easily on asteroid station, using the fire extinguisher above the desk to break the glass and grill(And I swear if I see any meta gaming wardens/Hos players taking the extinguisher at round start I am going to freak out)...

I have no such menu, at least not one that shows reconnect.

It never actually seems to disconnect - it just hangs.

I'm also having issues with BYOND. It has a tendency to hang completely between rounds - very, very regularly. I have to close and reopen BYOND in order to get back into the game, and often this fails, too, and I must try repeatedly. If I have to watch that bloody Kingdom Hearts advert again I'm goi...

Hold on. You guys already nerfed my medical robots. Don't get rid of my bruisepacks ...

If this was on ass-teriod station, that crewmember that got in a gunfight with you was me. Re: My First Time Playing As a Head Was Yesterday

CMO's not appreciated by many players, because he's the main representative of the exact opposite way that they play the game (the CMO and MDs heal people; most players know only harm). So a player who's willing to get into the swing of things when it comes to playing CMO is a comfort.

Last I checked, you can't close or open Command-level jobs, presumably to prevent silly stuff like three Heads of Security during revolution or what-have-you. Ah, right. I was acting on tip-off on this particular point, but I've personally verified the others (not this one, 'cos I didn't want to ac...

Re: Little things you learned that are game changing

One of the more recent changes to the HoP's ID computer is the ability to reassign job slots - one per minute. This means that you can make more slots available for incoming (blank) instead of just assistants. In a very busy round, this can mean stemming the rainbow tide and replacing it with crewme...

When a non-head or security crewmember gets all access and uses it to become every crewmember's favourite person - on the frontlines in battle, dragging the wounded to medbay, dabbling in a bit of everything.

Bringing back an old idea, there's The Berlin Wall round.

An indestructible wall is placed straight down the middle of the station, continuing all the way to the edge of the Z-level. The only gap is in the bridge, and is a two-berth checkpoint. The station is otherwise left to its own devices.
