Unless it's a declared war ops, I don't think it's worthwhile to change up your game on the off chance of nukies. Tiles can be replaced instantly without having to lever up the old tiles first. Hold a crowbar in one hand, and the replacement tile in the active hand. One click does both actions at once.

I actually like this idea a whole lot. Perhaps some form of leash mechanic to limit where the golem can go; tied to a power source, or a wind up key on their back some else has to turn. Using the slabs as golem heads is a very interesting idea.

What about in round skillsets?
Round start job determines starting skill stats, with boosted stats in skills related to your job.
Doing your job raises those stats. Doing someone else's job is harder without the boosted stats, but could be learned.
