They're a hit-and-run style mech. Gygax shots do most of their damage through their incendiary shots, but miner equipment has near-immunity to fire damage. So yes, they won't be very effective at killing a miner or someone in a firesuit in a straight up fight.

yeah even if we enabled full pixel movement, the system is still set up to be tile-based, its just that your sprites' position is modified to move across the tile. so it's not "faux" anything, it's as authentic as it gets.
