As of May 2023, the to-do list for the wiki has been ported to the wiki itself, allowing all editors to modify and add to the list. The original contents of this page, as seen below this announcement, have been frozen and will be outdated. Click here for the new to-do list .

This is the new to-do list for the /tg/station 13 wiki. Click here for the much older one.
If you are able to post here, congratulations: you meet the qualifications to edit the wiki!

/tg/station 13 has decided to publicly release limited info about players permabanned from /tg/Station 13 game servers.
What's listed:
Only NEW bans made after this page was created.
Permanent server bans (no job bans).
Active and inactive bans alike (unless the ban was active for less then a week before being unbanned, in which case it stops showing up in public bans and gets mirrored to centcomdb as a delete.)
The system will wait 1 hour before showing the ban.
Ckey, ban reason, banning admin ckey,...
It has come to my attention that some have lately called me a statman, as if such a term were shameful. I ask you, what greater endeavor exists than that of statistics? In our current unparalleled codebase, refusal to consider statistics is simply a refusal to grow—an insistence on forking, if you will. Has SS14 refused to collect data? It has not. It crept forth boldly while its brethren remained on the byond hub, with soft and hard player caps forever staring newbies in the face, ignorant and...
I wanted to create a discussion to see if anyone else has ever used and/or is familiar with this extension. I used to help maintain the wiki (minorly) for Barotrauma and as such was using templates quite vigorously, as they store their data on their wiki in a much different way than we do. Namely using the Cargo extension, which I have mixed feelings about. But one extension that they have that I have found extremely useful in the past is called CodeMirror.
You people keep telling me to just block the people who are making me upset so as to not harsh the vibe but 95 percent of the time its a coloredname and i am not allowed to block them. None of their posts have any intrinsic value based of the pigment of their username and i should not be required to see their bad posts.
I do not know how many people use my site, but if you do I have posted a somewhat extensive FAQ on how Scrubby works and specifically useful features that I have yet to have a proper UI implementation of.
If you don't know what Scrubby is:
Scrubby is a hobby project of mine that, like Statbus, maintains and processes data about rounds from TGstation servers. You can view data about any round, any player, including yourself, as well as read any log file that has been posted in a...
can the forums stop logging me out so I don't have to keep logging back in
what the fuck that shit is annoying
jesus christ it happens multiple times a week christ make it stop
As you may have noticed, I have returned with the express intent of working on tools for /tg/ and other /tg/ -flavored SS13 communities. With the benefit of something like 7 years of hindsight and experience gained, I'm taking some time to plan things out and do it up proper. Right out the gate, a few goals of this new Statbus are:
Build it in such a way that someone else can take over running/maintaining the project
Focus more on functionality for external tools, like ahelps, bans, and...
There's been a lot of talk lately about how Space Law doesn't mesh well with existing rules (especially on the MRP ruleset). Quite a few members of the community have expressed interest in changing or re-writing it.
The headmin team is interested in hearing suggestions for revisions or total re-writes of space law.
If you have a pitch, here's where to put it. Limit it to one post. Please make good use of formatting including generous usage of spoilers for the sake of overall thread length.
Discussion of...
Some of you may remember that last term, the headmins threw out a potential space law rewrite into the forums, found Here .
This term, I plan on going through and adjusting our current version of space law.
Space Law is quite dated and I believe it needs a good bit of modernization to match the current game state and lore a bit better.
I took a peak at Paradise Station's space law page a few months back and was pretty impressed - The layout is nice, not hard to follow and goes into good...
There are some fantastic guides that are really rough to find, or simply require you knowing about them. Seems like a no-brainer to just have a page with a list of the currently-existing guides on the wiki
Hi, I'm looking for some feedback on how the /tg/ wiki handles the archival of obsolete information .
Currently, full pages are usually untouched except for a small banner at the top stating its removal and that the page is archived (example: Nanites ).
Outdated sections in parts of larger pages, like Machines#Cloning_Pod , are compressed and tucked away into an expandable box.
In rarer cases, areas in which archived pages or sections are referenced are merely crossed out (example: Guides ).
The admin application board links to the format but that page just says You are not authorised to read this forum.
I don't know who actually is authorized, but it's probably better if anyone can read it
...what suggestions would you guys have? Like, heart, agree, and disagree are the sensible ones that most modern forums have. Maybe a clown react for funny/dumb things. The eyeball react seems to be popular on the github. What else can you guys think of?
If Manuel & Sybil players are as divided as cats & dogs, the current situation with them brigading each other trying to impose their viewpoints onto generalist policy is going to eventually tear the community apart. So here's my input into what could be done to expand policy discussion, and i look forward to seeing if a initial first pass of this idea could be drawn onto coding discussion also.
My Draft

I noticed that there have been rather substantial revisions to the Assistant page that removed a variety of strategies for ghetto security , including tips on using stunprods, pipeguns, etc. The reasons given by Dragomagol are as follows:
Removed most of the gamier tips
While personally I'm indifferent as to whether this information remains on the assistant page, to remove it from the wiki outright seems quite shortsighted. All it serves to do is keep strong strategies in the hands of longtime players...
Got banned? Don't wanna log in to Byond to get the reason why? Well now you don't have to, thanks to the awesome power of
B A N B U S ™
Log in with your forum account (that's been linked to your byond account) and behold all bans in the database, attached to your ckey! Banbus even includes the appeal form, pre-filled with all the relevant information*.
Stay tuned for more updates as additional functionality is migrated from statbuses rapidly decaying carcass ** added. Be on the look out for your...
if you remember facepunch then you remember reactions
(i couldn't find a good picture of the newer ones)
ratings were useful for telling other people what you thought of them without having to take the time to think of words
with discord threatening to make the forums entirely irrelevant i think adding this feature that it and github already have will help refresh this tired format and bring it into the year >2011+13
As of right now, Ideas has a sub forum that isn't being used.
What I am suggesting is archiving/moving this, and replacing it with a sub-forum focused on not original adaptations, but bringing over features/ideas from other servers, and suggesting on how to put a /tg/station twist in the port.
It often shows a different post from higher up on the previous page. I don't know if it's related to how many posts are visible on a page and if the post position it selects hardcoded is in or something.
The new player guide is in need of a redo and a lot of our pages teach players bad behavior.
I've spoken with community members about it here and there, but I think we would benefit from having a thread open for more organized and central discussion.
Are there things you'd like to improve on the wiki?
What pages are most in need of attention?
For players to make stuff not suitable for the wiki, like an overview of poisons based on practicality, or combat tips or something. It would be cool as a way to share + wisdom + amongst us forum using elites. People post guides on here all the time but there wedged into general chat too often.
Renderbus is Statbus' younger sibling, a one-stop shop for renders of the tg station maps.
This project is still HEAVILY WIP, so proceed with caution. The end goal is to automatically generate renders of the full station maps at least once a day, but this may shift to generating renders every time a map file is edited on github. Maps will be presented similarly to Goon's online map viewer and Affected's map viewer .
For now, here are the full size map renders. This page will update as new renders are...
With the return of wiki editing (and with rulings on 26 new policy threads this term so far), what policy thread conclusions do you think would be worth having on the Headmin Rulings page , especially from past terms?
Are there any policy thread rulings you remember seeing that were significant (whatever that means to you) that you wish were easier to reference?
What specific things that have been discussed repeatedly in policy (or maybe referenced in an appeal but weren't in rulings) but ultimately got...
This is early stages. Oauth application registration requires a manual process only I can do , a self serve system may or may not get coded at some later point in time.

User endpoint:

Ban appeals without the banning admin's name in the beginning of the subject line will be deleted.
Link your byond account before posting an appeal to avoid the moderation queue
Tried to adjust it to include the broken console found on the NT frigate in the bridge, turns out all it really did was fucked the page over. Reverted and nothing happened.
I have a few questions regarding access permissions.
1. Do admins have permissions to eavesdrop on private user messages? Are there special circumstances involved?
2. What functionality and access remains to users that have been ingame banned? Are there varying differences? Are they able to send and receive private messages?
Please do answer truthfully, it would be most appreciated! ?
they are way too :o tiny, I have to use a :geek: magnifying glass to see any of them, and half of these are just a bunch of  symbols that you can barely make out :ninja: what they are supposed to be.
Better smileys, updated SS13 smileys, in a size that is actually :id: visible
It’s very easy to click latest post on general, write a response, then realize it was a candidate debate topic which can result in getting peopLe banned from engaging with election posts.
If you want a suggestion to where I’d say make an election section under the admin zone where auditorium and admin-related threads go
