Did any of the coders touch the consoles?

Post by Jacough » #192823

Basically, if I try to use a chem dispenser or any other object that uses the more fancy grey background consoles it'll only pop up once. After that I have to restart my client just to get it to pop up again. The basic windows work just fine though. So is this a code problem or a problem on my end?

That's a known issue with tgui, I believe. There isn't a way to circumvent it.
I'm an ex-coder for /tg/. I made the original versions of clockcult, shadowlings, revenants, His Grace, and other stuff.
I don't play, code, or participate in the community, but I occasionally post dumb stuff in the hut.

The dev of HTMLInterface recently added a new feature to tgui (since he himself has moved over to it for his own work), that's the only recent thing (within the last few days), so it's probably that.

Same problem started for me in the last few days. No problems before that. Rarely, some consoles/machines won't open a gui at all, after selecting a working console, all work again.

This was a potential bug in tgui that was rolled back, are you still experiencing the issue?

In the meantime, Ctrl+f works on those windows, thankfully.

Only if by meantime you mean 4 or so months since this bug has been reported and acknowledged.
