Syndicate Gygaxes fucking suck

I was a miner in hardsuit unupgraded. Fought against a gygax it kept shooting bullets and hitting all the shots but i lived throught it. Getting hit by the syndicate shotgun was a lot worse than the gygaxes gun

I was a security officer that round. I'm pretty sure it was a player skill issue along with the fact that sending four Gygaxes in really isn't a good nuke ops strategy.

They're a hit-and-run style mech. Gygax shots do most of their damage through their incendiary shots, but miner equipment has near-immunity to fire damage. So yes, they won't be very effective at killing a miner or someone in a firesuit in a straight up fight.
