when i play blob welder bombs usually are a free win for me as the 2-3 people who solved the puzzle in 2. get delimbed and stunned during a welder bomb

crew was troglotydes , maybe play 10 times before making a whole forum thread

only thing overpowered is the snake chem, ert/ds arent fair for antags and used only in certain conditions that the admin has foreseen , the less ert the better for the game

Blob ability to wound was removed today, just an oversight due to blob handling dealing damage weirdly
P.S. Shoot Dr. Allen on sight and dissolve his body in acid. Don't burn it.

Relying on the admins to make an antag bearable is the most risky play you could make, especially if it's a really common antag.

I'd like to see someone have enough charisma to convince admins to send in a competent ERT (aka deathsquaddies or anything that actually poses a challenge to blobs) more than five times in one month. You know how hard it is to even get the nuke codes when a blob attacks?

I suspect you should probably adapt your standard response to blob rather than trying to regulate the wounds system to make the game play like it was before.

Unless the admin likes you or you're both communicating in a way that isn't the communication console (takes a lot more time than anything else), it's significantly hard. However even if it's face-to-face or a 10 minute delay conversation, it's still basically a test of social engineering/manipulation and how perceptive they are of the situation. If you call for help with "Please help us we're being killed and are all gonna die please help" when a cynical, jaded old admin veteran is on then you may as well be gambling at a casino with those odds. I don't like to be manipulative however it's basically naive optimism otherwise.

Of course, this REQUIRES an admin to be online in the first place. The whole thing falls flat otherwise.

tl;dr requiring ERTs to fight the blob is a trash idea. if that unfortunately happens then it may as well be a gamemode antag again.
