Megacarp add nothing to the game.

I have not seen these things ever do anything conductive to a round, regular carp are fine because you can actually kill them before they kill you most times, but unless you have the armory in your backpack you may as well give up with these fucking things, any round with a breach, so almost every round, ends up with them chasing an engineer into the station and killing people.

They are RNG death incarnate, which is not something this game needs.

I've seen people kill them singlehandedly pretty much every time one shows up, I've even done it myself one time.
They add nothing to the game by not being strong enough to be any different than a normal carp, if anything.

Yeah, those are reasonably easy to robust if you know how to aim and/or have gotten gud in close-range.

Remember that carp are a dorfort thing from when cap would rape normal dorfs for going near water(space).
