It's done this for a while. It instakills you and shoves you out the way which is fair enough

I will never forget my nuke op round where a lizard miner accidentally killed our entire team (four remaining ops) and the cuffed captain with the disk. We were briefly celebrating before SLAM round over.

Shuttle coming in and hitting you is always a matter of

When I first added shuttle crushing it didn't instant-kill you. It dealt something like 80 damage and knocked you out for a few seconds, but if you had a space suit on you could still recover.

Well it leaves and docks fast enough to knock people on their ass if they aren't buckled in.

IIRC, the shuttles teleport in jumps, so being shunted is like having the shuttle APPEAR on you.

I wish the smaller shuttles just did, like, 80 damage, though.

It wasn't terribly fun to be walking along and suddently BAM you're gibbed, no warning.

it was more of an issue that cargo had two reusable gibbers (cargo and mining shuttle) then the escape shuttle, I think.

So your expectation for someone attempting to go around cargo from space is to wait until the shuttle arrives before continuing? Sitting around waiting is such riveting fun. And you know when I'm saying that a change makes space too boring that it has to make space really fucking boring.

Or you could just use common sense to figure out that chilling right where a big ass shuttle is about to park is about as smart as taking a nap on a live subway track.

There are even big warning signs and reinforced walls on the big where the shuttle parks tat tell you exactly where you shouldn't be sitting

Getting killed by shuttles out of the blue isn't fun. Waiting for them isn't fun. There really isn't much else to say on the matter.

Maybe a warning light could come on near where the shuttle docks? One that starts blinking when the shuttle is in transit. I can't imagine that being hit by the mining or gulag shuttles is common at all. I suppose a few extra girders could be added to the map outlining the shuttle area. It wouldn't really work though for the White Ship though

I'm not really seeing this. To bypass the gulag shuttle, you can push east off the NW solar array. To bypass the mining shuttle, you can push south off cargo's window. Bypassing the escape shuttle isn't easy, but there's literally a timer in your UI that shows when it's due to arrive.

I dunno, it used to be good fun to see a would be shuttle highjacker get splattered as they tried to get out of the way before it docked after sabotaging the airlocks from space
