Got a chance to play one in a recent round. some thoughts...

Its too easy to just hide in a wall and use Harvest. You cannot be shot as far as i know.

Abilities do not make you visible for long. I was worried about this, but Xhuis felt it was fine. Still disagree.

Too easy to murderbone. Revenants ive seen so far just mind spike/blast people to death. I feel like mind blast should be removed and the weak version have its cooldown increased a fair bit to stop it being spammed. Revenant should deal its damage indirectly. The force choke ability was much better imo. Oxygen damage isnt nearly as annoying as brute. Overloading Lights is more in line with what i think Revenant should play like. Indirect damage like throwing items around or temp Oxygen damage.

The frequency of the random events that spawn Revenant/Ninja/Alien should probably be increased now we have more options. At the very least make them happen earlier, as rounds are quite short and there is no point spawning when the shuttle is called.

Bombs instagib you even when you are invisible. Your 3 spare lives do not prevent it.

Thats all i got for now. If i get to play it more ill see what else it can do.

Revenant spawns should be pretty rare, seeing as they're less 'spooky ghostie eating corpses' and more 'unstoppable teleporting inescapable wallhack assassin'

It has its problems but I really like overall the concept. It's another way of dead people getting back into the round.

It has one, but it can only be toggled via the verb, not on the setup panel (for some reason)

So I was a sec chasing a traitor wielding an energy sword. Suddenly a ghost came out of the wall and incapacitated me. He then proceeded to spit bubbles at me, which killed me almost instantly.

4/10, I guess the sprite is spooky and bubbles are nicely animated.

Yeah they can kill you quite easily. The weak mind blast attack does 12 damage on a 1.5 second Cooldown. The strong one does 40 damage on a much longer cooldown. The downside is that they will spend more essence killing you than they recover from harvesting(harvesting instantly kills you when you are in crit).

Like i said, its a fun antag, but it needs less ability to directly murderbone. Pretty sure Xhuis agrees and will be changing some stuff so they are less unbalanced.

It actually costs exactly 45 energy to crit someone with mind spike, and that's how much you'll get back from harvesting them, so it's sustainable if an invisible wallhack assassin.

Essence is health though, so that assumes you never take damage ever.
In game, I play the A.I Firmware, the French cyborg C.U.R.I.E, Aubrie Allen, and the lizard scum Skulks-Through-Maintenance.

Could really use more feedback on your spare lives and when you lose one, as well as a UI for your current essence.

Also not sure if its intentional, but because you regen up to 25 essence, you can unlock most of your abilities "for free", as they only cost 5-20E each to unlock. At least thats what ive been doing.

Right now it feels really unbalanced. As a fully armed HoS with all the usual sec gear it was basicly impossible for me to stop the reverent in the time it took them to appear and then fairly quickly knock me down. I'd get a hit in, one hit, but then that was it. Also due to them disappearing fairly rapid like, its impossible to use any ranged weaponry to help someone else.

It other words it just seems like its impossible to fight, it feels like an shitty admin gimmick rather than a round/antag type right now.
IMHO it needs a lot of work.

Maybe make it so they can't phase through walls (like normal ghosts) when they're visible? It'd stop them saxxing, at least. Don't give them knockdown powers either: a revenant ghost is one who attacks the injured and harvests their souls, not stunspikes the Captain on the Bridge.
