Placing mech cells should be done in setup not afterwards
Where do mechs even get the powercells inside of them? You should put the powercell in right after you fix the wires. Instead of having to go into maint protocols

This would be a nice quality of life improvement, agreed.

It also makes sense. All mechs somehow just magically get shitty basic cells inside of themErbbu wrote:This would be a nice quality of life improvement, agreed.

And the whole 'replacing the cell drops it to 20% charge' thing...

That's in place so murderboning robos could not keep their mech powered up forever by just replacing the cell. It used to be at 100% charge.

That seems silly. If they are murderboning they are probably using a power producing component anyway.

the point being, they don't NEED to waste a slot generating power if they can just switch out cells.
Although honestly the energy weapons are all really shit compared to the AC2 and AC10.
They have way higher DPS, and only use power when reloading. The AC2 has like 400 shots per reload, 60 brute per burst.
Basically, if you actually want to bone, power is never an issue since you barely use any.

Switching out cells requires hiding in maint for several minutes while you swap out the batteries, though, whereas powergen/the mech rechargers don't require making yourself stunnable and weak

There is a lot of very bizarre nonsense being talked on this forum. I shall now remain silent and logoff until my points are vindicated.

There is one great outcome from this: I rised up the blood pressure of some of you shitheads and lowered your lifespan. I'm honestly tempted to do this more often just to see you screech and writhe more, but that wouldn't be cool of me. So come on haters, show me some more of your high blood pressure please.
