90 degree reflective mirrors are a terrible idea

Post by FantasticFwoosh » #131117

This is partly a moaning feedback thread and partly a technical cry for help.

90 degree reflective mirrors just suddenly appeared this round on bagil as of this time roughly of 23:00 GMT, and now there is a infinite lag machine inside of a brig cell that can cause people's dreamseeker to crash from being overloaded. Additionally the concept for said mirrors are gimmicky to the point of non-usefulness and may only ever see the light of day for one round. The lag is that powerful, by even going near the machine i am rendered unable to even get into the game, past adverts on dream weaver or interact with the menu's lol.

It is admittedly cool to see mirrors in the game but the fact that they've only been in like what 20 mins and they've been abused is certainly slower than i would expect.

the lag should have been fixed (and the fix has been merged), it was the message spam caused by reflection, not the reflectors themselves
Edit: and the servers have been updated pending a new round, so yeah.

someone made a laser cage around a greysuit and i nudged a guy into 20 lasers and he went into crit

can we make it so the bathroom mirrors direct lasers directly back at you

can we make it so you can unscrew them from walls and use them as mirror shields that shatter into glass shards when struck by anything but a laser but can reflect them
