So the angel wings and species have been in the game for a while.The potion of of flight that gives you the species was added as lavaland loot.
So yeah, feedback, suggestions, and shit here.

I really don't know why we chose Angel Wings in the first place. Could've been a functionality given to magboots/special hover boots to fit with the theme more than the wings.

It's not about lore, it's about theme. The angel wings absolutely do not fit in lavaland. If they were in summon magic only or whatever then they'd be totally fine.

More on principle because they thought adding a PvE loot dungeon with shit that doesn't fit the setting was okay but giving security ballistic weapons was a shit idea because it didn't fit the setting.

I don't think objecting to something violating NT's theme is entirely equivalent to an enemy/alien/outside force having its own theme.

Wizards have magic but I wouldn't want security to start with wands. Each faction should have some internal consistency at least.

If you hate PVE on principle though then whatever, not gonna change your mind there. It's the only way to really alleviate the zero sum game of antag vs security and general angst though.

All that said I didn't add angel wings.

If there was a demonic set of wings I would of totally done this when adding the bottle, at the time only the angelic ones existed so whatever.

If people are actually getting their panties in a twist over an uncommon loot item from memeland then I'm surprised they survived when lizard customization were added.

They'll be the opposite of watchers upon opening their wings they superheat you. If you kill enough Seraphim you can combine seraphim wings to summon a super seraphim to help you fight an ash drake.

It was the most appropriate example and it was fairly recent so most people understand the point being made.

The main focus that lavaland is thematically batshit insane but we allow shit like that alongside angel wings and yet a ballistic weapons are a step too fucking far and break the theme. I just dislike the sheer lack of consistency in what is and isn't allowed because "Nah breaks the theme".

On top of that I just think that allowing players to actively work towards getting antag during a round is fucking shit design. There is a reason we have full shaft miners every shift and people going straight to HoP and suiciding to wait for ash walker if they don't get it.

Saying it again, wings were not made for lavaland. I didn't add them to lavaland and I don't really care if they get removed either. I was gonna add wings at some other point down the line when I had spookier sprites. I didn't think it'd offend so many people to merge though.
