to be fair botany has been suffering a bit from science syndrome in that it's received nothing but buffs for a while because it's one of the few places where cool new things can actually be added and sorta make sense

kudzu was nerfed....
after being buffed 40000 times over the years to go through walls, spread across space, blow off limbs by brushing you too hard, being immune to welders, and grow and actually ridiculous speeds

cash lemons were nerfed.........
after money was made valuable to cargo and you could get literally millions of credits with very very little effort

robust harvest was nerfed? idk who really cares tbh just mutagen and use the DNA manipulator that botany was buffed to have to save the highest traits of each plant

Hydroponics is kill

They weren't even cooperating. Cargo was just getting dirt plots and growing them en mass themselves.
It's not even a hydroponics nerf, botanists can't do anything with the money themselves. It's a cargo nerf. And it needed to happen, because you could ship so much bullshit that the money counter would go into scientific notation.
