throwing anything at them causes the thrown item to get chopped up but if they slip then the wielder gets chopped up themselves.

You can put bolas into pneumatic cannons to shoot them super fast and far.

Uh, point two is wrong on pretty much all counts; percentage chances don't stack like that, the esword's damage is slightly lower(one more hit to crit), and, as a bonus note, chairs can only block unarmed attacks, like punching/disarm.
So that means effectively your reasoning for buffing the dual esword was "Dual Eswords were a joke" which, uh, may not have been true at all.
