I suggest looking at some pixel art guides along with looking at some of sprites already ingame.

In addition to Nien's advice, here's a few pointers. If you want to make sprites for Space Station 13, you'll want to make them 32x32. There are a few exceptions such as the singularity, Nar'sie, and a few others, but for the most part everything is 32x32. Another thing to note is that you'll want to make your backgrounds transparent, instead of pure white. Most importantly, keep practicing! Learn how to shade, outline, and how to draw from different perspectives, and you'll be on the road to success.

Thanks for the advice, I remade it as a 32x32, and saved as a PNG for trasparency, and by a miracle was able to draw out a proper trigger guard!
