Re: BYOND webclient
It doesn't work with every server, they have to enable it in the code somehow.

Yeah, currently we reject any connections that aren't coming from Dream Seeker. It's trivial to enable the webclient, but there's still major defects with it that make it unusable for actual play.

You can evade bans with it with relative ease. Just have a few spare accounts. And there is nothing that can really be done about it at the moment.Violaceus wrote:MisterPerson wrote:Yeah, currently we reject any connections that aren't coming from Dream Seeker. What defects? I played on bay and everything was fine sparing unability to right click.
Are these defects dangerous to server or can be use for exploits? If no, it should be up to player if he chooses to play on inferior webclient.

Re: BYOND webclient
Webclient connections ave no computer ID at all. This is, to put it mildly, highly problematic for determining multikeying and making sure bans stick.

Re: BYOND webclient
Our server probably has the LARGEST problem with multikeyers and ban evaders of any other server :T

That's because we are the largest server clearly.paprika wrote:Our server probably has the LARGEST problem with multikeyers and ban evaders of any other server :T
Also people must really want to play here if they are willing to go to crazy lengths to evade bans.
The most excessive signature on /tg/station13.
Still not even at the limit after 8 fucking years.
The evil holoparasite user I can't believe its not DIO and his holoparasite I can't believe its not Skub have been defeated by the Spacedust Crusaders, but what has been taken from the station can never be returned.
