Maybe we should bring Errorage's book club back, that worked wonderfully to get rid of useless/joke/duplicate books in the system.

Library shit obliteration begins in a little bit

Let's try and decide what gets flagged so we can just submit this list and have things pruned:
- Porn stays, some porn goes? What is our 'quality standard' for it?
- Books in foriegn languages?
- Books containing outdated/irrelevant information (There are quite a few Engineering/Science[R&D especially] books that are out of date or just wrong)?
- Things I could describe as 'meme trash'? (Books that are actually pages of someone writing asinine shit that's mostly 'le epik trole book')

There's also a lot of stuff that's just poorly written. Like, low-tier middle-school-english shit, but that's probably going to stay because it's players work and it would be Bay autism to start removing based on an artifical standard of quality dictated by some grand Library janitor.

The clear-cut non-vague rules for the books should be imo:
1. English only.
2. Have at least one word in it (books with only one word in them can be funny statements as well).
3. Not have the same content as another book (because some books have been uploaded first, then later realized it had the wrong title, genre or whatever and uploaded again with the correct one).

I'm going to make a more clear thread about this with a bit. I've been PMing SoS and he said a hard reset of the archive isn't out of the question, but we'll obviously need agreed-upon Library policy.

As MSO said, library tools are coming eventually. I've nagged him myself a few times too.
The return of the book club is much needed!
On top of random books, "print job ###" are common issues, because they may be actual books but had title issues so it's not fair to outright delete them. I'm sure this will all get hashed out at a later date when library tools are closer at hand

That is planned in the book club.

You'd have the ability to see the approval status of all your shit, and even delete shit up till it's gotten its first print in game. (after that a request would be needed)
