Get two Eguns, one in each hand, and, while in hotkey mode, use x to swap after firing a shot each time. Good fun.
But I mostly use arrow keys.

The only reason I'd see using the arrow keys over it is to type while you move, and even then you can just tab out of hotkeys real quick and do that.

You know you can hold CTRL to temporarily enable hotkeys? I use arrow keys, and CTRL+Z, X, Q, E, etc

Oh yeah, it's better to use your second hand to press two buttons instead of using one hand to press single buttons much faster, because they are all nearby while your other hand is using the fucking mouse to click on things. Or I guess use your arrow keys hand to press those two buttons but you're better off clicking at that point.

I cannot believe how many people use arrow keys.

WASD is a requirement for engineering. Quickswitching from screwdriver to crowbar when setting or removing windows makes the whole process less suffering. Same applies to wirecutters/crowbar when hacking doors. There's too many things that require two hands not to be using hotkeys.

No he's talking about mouse3. Which is the click your mouse wheel makes when you click down on it if you have a mouse made past the year 2000.
It does the same thing as x/ctrl-x.

I use arrow keys for normal play because I like talking to people.

Then I hit tab for murderboning or combat times. It's fun to switch to kill mode.

I always viewed it as WASD were used by powergamers and arrows by people that actually RP (due to speed of being able to type on demand without pressing anything first).

But mainly I use the arrows beacuse I didnt realise hotkeys were possible, so I've got used to arrows and WASD just feels utterly wrong.

Arrow keys are so incredibly awkward when you're in a game that predominantly focuses on communication. It means you have to shift both hands every time you go from talking to movement, how is that more RP-prone?

I seriously think we should make the hotkey mode the default and then have a preference option to use the arrow keys. Obviously a big fan of the hotkeys.

I use my left hand to move my spacemen and my right on the mouse i mean seriously i can type while i move and i have my keyboard in a platform below my mouse so i dunno if all you have the motor skills of a fucking slug or just can't multitask.

Oh, i get, you don't understand how i use mouse. Well, again, more specific:

Left hand is used for writing and right is used for moving with arrows, thanks to which i can write while moving. When i need to click stuff, i use my left hand for moving (and hotkeys, if combat), while i put my right hand on mouse (which is on the same level, few centimeters to right) so i can point at things. It's just that simple.
