Bottom post of the previous page:

>borgs getting fuzzy white static when they get hit
>mining borgs are fucking shit
>engiborgs used to be literally masterrace
>flashlights need to be active
>getting flashed is ggnore can't even sa :b help

Fuck the first and last ones, I swear to god there is someone with a grudge against borgs

Literally all that's good about borg nowadays is not choosing a module lets your power run for some time and you can just spend the entire round talking shit and bantering while being able to go anywhere and pull stuff around.

I really wish Asimov wasn't automatically the default lawset. It should either be randomly chosen at roundstart, or the captain is told to pick one upon spawning. Fucking Asimov AIs always interfere when I burn traitors alive in the courtroom for all to see.

I've always thought that leaving traitors in perma is retarded. You risk them escaping and they do nothing useful. My preferred course of action is to borg them after execution to avoid taking any unnecessary risks. Plus, who doesn't love a good show?

Half the purpose of perma is giving traitors another chance to fuck up the round, that is what they're for. Executions are for shitlers, forceborging is for changelings and traitors caught twice.

I'll typically use perma for people who have committed serious crimes but for who I can't prove are murderers or enemies of the corporation. People who may be proven innocent later.

i never play roles where i have to execute people but if I had to I'd probably build an electric chair on the bridge or something so people can come watch.
else, perma.

oh and fyi making roundstart laws pick from asimov/corporate/paladin is super easy, all you have to do is toggle a config option (i know this because i implemented this myself, alongside a set of laws that can be easily configured by hosts)

im pretty salty at the borg stunning thing myself because i like playing borg.
a lot of seemingly unintentional borg nerfs seem to have slipped in. (aliens tackling borgs, carp knocking borgs down, etc)

Alright, I don't do this often, but let's go. Admin gripes? Admin gripes.

- When I tell you that what happened to you is valid, it's fukken valid. I had recently someone who got robusted by a gangmember, that still ARGUED about it being non-valid despite the fact that the kill was perfectly valid. You're dead, and there's a perfect reason for it : traitors. And that won't be the last time eitheir.

- Arguing about a situation that was judged IC when it's not necessary. I can understand in some cases - yes, we're admins, we're also humans, we can miss details that are important to a certaint situation, and thus change decisions upon that. But not every ahelps need to end in a ban. No, I don't care that you're offended by my decision - the following events made the whole situation IC. Please keep civil, don't get agressive... Ho wait, no you are getting agressive. Seriously, what's with wanting to get people banned so much?

-At the same time, people who adminhelps, and then I realise that this whole time that they've been such shits they deserve everything they got. Bravo, you just wasted my time, and the time of the guys I went to question. This is probably the only thing in my admin career that makes me legitimatly angry - and if I see you pulling that shit multiple times, you can be sure I'm kicking your ass out of the servers.

- People who just whines. Whines, whines, whines, and then whines some more. I understand complaining a bit about some legitimate issues, but it gets tiring when I see the same faces whining and then WHINING SOME MORE. Especially when they're whining about whatever killed them. This gets to you when you're observing. At least, you have now multiple ways to get back into the round other than genetics, thanks to drones and posibrains, or the occasional Alien, blob, or spider.

I swear, this game saps the patience out of people.

On the same note:

- Chefs who bitch at botany to grow something that is already, clearly in the process of growing. PLANTS TAKE TIME TO GROW YOU ABSOLUTE SHITTER. Especially plants straight out of the seed vendor. I could waste a bunch of mutagen trying to improve the production stat but for people like that why bother?

- Chefs who request food items that require mutations, such as ghost chili or blood tomatoes, then act like it's the botanist's own deliberate fault when the species mutation produces something else.

- Botany coworkers who, in an attempt to be helpful, harvest plants I am actively trying to mutate before harvest to get certain stats (you can do that, you don't have to harvest right away). Bonus whine if they harvest them when the yield is currently 0. Double bonus whine if that is a plant that only germinates once.

- CHEMISTRY. Chemists who act shocked that botany might need large amounts of mutagen. Chemists who go out of their way to give botany < 90 units (it takes the same fucking amount of time you fuck) when they can clearly afford it. Chemists who think that the large beaker in botany's back room was stolen from them (this has actually happened).

- People who fucking eat all the plants in the public garden before I can make seeds of them you fat gluttonous fucks. Especially when it's useful shit like the starting-50-potency wheat. Especially at roundstart.

Everything is too well/overdesigned now when a lot of the charm of the game used to come from how unbalanced, unpredictable, and poorly thought out everything was, and how wrong everything would go because of it.

What does this really apply to, besides gas storage being in the toxins mixing room and "advanced robusting techniques" like tabling, quickchoking, and throwing people into walls over and over until they died? People say this kind of thing a lot but most of the time it comes off like Smash tourney guys whining that they can't wavedash in Brawl

Fun fact: You can still do all of those things except quickchoking. You can still get a chokehold after tabling someone, but the delay before they go unconscious from oxyloss/crit is too long to be viable. However, if you have a table close enough to (or against) a wall you can just table -> throw into wall -> repeat.
Five throws puts the target into crit, each throw doing 20 brute.

I say, 'you should be more intent on helping others', or 'be more helpful' in short.

There is one great outcome from this: I rised up the blood pressure of some of you shitheads and lowered your lifespan. I'm honestly tempted to do this more often just to see you screech and writhe more, but that wouldn't be cool of me. So come on haters, show me some more of your high blood pressure please. 🖕🖕🖕

A lot of people will feed the plants into the biogenerator to make a tool belt. I will admit that I have done this before.
Next time you do this, leave the wheat and one watermelon. It'll still be enough for a belt while leaving botany the amazing what for the chef and the watermelons which are fantastic for biomass.

here's some whining i have

people who complain about immersion when it comes to things that it's hard to talk about ic without breaking immersion
and then when people propose alternatives that are less immersion-breaky they say "well u woodent say those things irl still wood u so M-MUH IM-MERSION-NS!"

like i get it, roleplay and all, but real life doesn't have an intent system with four buttons at all (you don't go to hug your qt3.14 and punch her in the mouth because you forgot to be helpful in real life) so sometimes we need to reflect that IC and break immersion a little bit because there isn't a way to approach it realistically as that situation will never occur in real life
i play Lauser McMauligan. clown name is Cold-Ass Honkey
i have three other top secret characters as well.

Mostly map design, so many godamn R-walls and no fast way of dealing with them. Those "quality of life" upgrades for the AI/security.

I'm responsible for nerfing plenty of shit myself, so I'm part of the problem.

I miss being able to blow through a wall with an RCD (from the public lathe!) or spray acid in a mans face. There was a single unreinforced wall between you and the brig cells. The regular AI satellite is now a fortress with more security than all of Uterus station put together.

And yes I do miss ADVANCED ROBUST COMBAT like using water on floors or throwing out tables to block people. I also miss walking around naked in space drinking coffee.

Stuff like that. Nobody misses parapens (though I do miss silently putting C4 on people to fake GBS, even if it was awful)

those little shits who start making problems at the shuttle, running everywhere, randomly disarming/pushing people, breaking windows, helping the traitor pull his traitory stuff off, or just annoying people endlessly instead of sitting on the damn chair like any sane person, those people deserve to be beheaded

When you voluntarily give someone the nuke codes, you can't complain when they use them. It irritates me when admins will give out the nuke code to the captain or something than get angry at him when he sets off the nuke.
I'm an ex-coder for /tg/. I made the original versions of clockcult, shadowlings, revenants, His Grace, and other stuff.
I don't play, code, or participate in the community, but I occasionally post dumb stuff in the hut.

Now that's just silly.
When I give out the nuke code, I generally fully expect that the station has a chance to explode. Even when trouble is over. Nothing to get angry over, at least deadchat gets to play again.
Hell sometimes, when I feel that the real code isn't necessary (like when the clown somehow got hold of the main terminal), I give a false code, just to create a little panick. Because Honk.
