Validhunters. Almost always assistants because they have NO responsibilities, have access to gain IMPROVISED weapons, and the simple numbers of a greytide can fuck up someone's day. Sadly, by now it's a way of life and I just learn to be fucking paranoid of anyone, especially greyshirts with insulated gloves and a gasmask on.

I really hate it when people loot your body when you're in crit and stuff, instead of getting you medical help. Unless you're an antagonist, please don't do it. It really fucks over Engineers and Security officers when you take their gloves/ tools/ weapons/ ID's.

Using the medbelt to store first aid equipment is a waste of valuable space. You're better off keeping everything in the medkit and filling your belt with pills and beakers of tricord/DD.

Speaking of medbay, a couple things probably symptoms of each other

1) People who push past the medbay staff to cryo patients they're dragging in, even going so far as to tase the medbay staff if they try to move them

2) Medbay staff who stand around chit chatting or pushing the clown or whatever while a critically wounded patient drags themself onto a sleeper and yells repeatedly for help

People who yell at the RnD to make something for them, but instead of waiting for the RnD to actually research it, decide to take matters into their own hands, stunning them, taking their id, fucking around for a bit, all because they couldn't wait for me to scan the OVERLY HUGE menu for the one thing I needed to print to research the cookie they want.

Idiot scientists who have no idea what they're doing at all in the slightest and still fuck around with the decon, despite their being someone right there who is willing to answer any questions they may have.

Atmospheric Technicians or Chief Engineers that completely remove the plasma or other dangerous gases from the mix tank loop to use it as fuel for some project (burn chambers, turbine, etc). I find it to be terrible practice to completely screw over a rogue AI / non-engineering cyborg without prior knowledge or suspicion. I do not mind that they are using the plasma for a good cause, all I ask is that the gasses be left connected to the loops so floods can still occur. Six times I have had a rogue AI round ruined because of that.

Just a few pet peeves..

First off, Doctors that REFUSE to use any medkits for injuries that could be fixed in a few seconds. Yes, I understand that you want to conserve your packs, but its so much easier to just use a bruise pack on an injury then boot them out door. Not only does the cryo take some time, not counting that some may not even have it set up yet, but it also leaves you helpless and we all know that not all doctors sit there to wait for you, so you either sit there for ages or you get dragged off and killed by someone who just HAPPEN to have a hit out on you.

One other thing that bothers me, is when people CONSTANTLY say "Valid" or "Valid hunter" Icly. Ok, I get that some have an issue with past problems, especially with me , but holy crap, does it REALLY need to be said over and over and over ICLY? I don't know how many times I've gotten close to say something over OOC about it during a round. It bothers me more when people who DO say that, are traitors, that are killing or about to start something big, and they expect you to not stop them, not be a problem, and let them kill you along with everyone else, cause otherwise you're a "VALID HUNTER".

And one last one..refusing cargo access to an assistant, I can agree that cargo can be used to make or get weapons, but honestly, almost every place in the station can be a source of weapons. Most of the time, cargo is just a good way to pass the time, order a few fun outfits/hats, or fight the spiders that come from the Spider clan occastionally.

Well, its filled when I usually ask, and instead of just getting the ok, I get a "Oh we already got a full cargo team" or "We don't need you, you probably just want weapons anyway." I would also figure with the usual access, I would get the title by default most of the time.

When I'm wiring solars and another engineer decides to do the two on the other side, then when I walk over to double check it's full of knots and other bullshit, SMES isn't set to input, none of the solar panels are connecting, SMES isn't wired to grid properly. God that pisses me off so much, solars is babby tier wiring, if you can't do it right and aren't willing to learn don't fuck with it.

I will mention that DoT wiring is more wire efficient than smooth wiring. Though smooth wiring looks a whole lot prettier, it's about 50% inefficient, so I'll give any engineer the benefit of the doubt when they dot wire, but not setting up the SMES is just bad form.

If you run knots from the panel wires, they don't link at the comp properly. Smooth wiring guarantees that they all hook in. I literally just had to fix this earlier today because an engineer just threw down some half ass knots and as a result one solar array had none linked up, and the other one only had 20 panels link until I smooth wired. There is no excuse whatsoever for doing a lazy and messy job, cable is plentiful enough that they shouldn't be worried about running out.

Because all too often, stopping to type gets me killed or lets some asshole run up and help the person I am arresting up before I have cuffs on them, or whatever other bullshit they feel like. And if you ARE one of those greytiding assholes who runs up to try and help criminals escape just because I didn't soliloquize before laying down the law, then you get to join them too.

I once ran into engineering from maint because I thought the door was emagged. I came up to an engie and told him, hey, guy, your door is emagged. What does he do? He whips out his flash/stunprod/whatever, it takes him like 5 seconds to click my sprite (I am waiting for him to stun me because yeah I'm in his department I'm not resisting I'm just here to tell him about the door and to check if there's someone cranking the PA up to 3/absorbing/killing/whatever), then he strips me and throws me out because HURR I HATE GREYTIDE UR GREYTIDE. To add insult to injury, it was obvious from what he was saying that he thought he was a big hero for defeating the evil greytider with his robust, while the reality was I just stood there and let myself be stunned.

OR that time when I found an engie ID and went to engineering to drop it off and the engie who was there tried to stun me even though I told him HELLO I AM HERE TO DROP OFF THIS ID I FOUND THANKS BYE. OR when I was repairing tcomms as an assistant (comms were emagged into and down for like 5 minutes already) and just as I leave comms and am in a hallway some engie comes out of maint and goes HURR YOURE DISABLE COMS? I TRY TO STUN YOU AND CALL SEC OVER THE COMS YOU FIXED BECAUSE YOU BROKED THEM NO YOU WERENT REPARRING THE APC BECAUSE YOUR AN ASSISTMAN AND ASSISTMAN CANT GET APC BROAD YOU STOLE IT FROM ENGINEEING TO BRAKE COMS. Now I just disarm people who attempt to stun me for breaking in and cuff them to a chair while I do my business but man it's so annoying when you break in/trespass to actually help, cooperate with the residents, explain why you're here to them, don't steal anything and still get treated like a greytider, stunned, cuffed and get your things taken (toolbelt/power cell/apc/airlock board/insuls? Ok so you turned from trying to do a good thing and having people react badly because of paranoia of greytiding, to then ACTUALLY (essentially) yourself (disarm, cuff, chair etc).
Admittedly those engineers were wrong to even have a weapon to stun, and to stun you un-prevoked, but don't then GIVE them a reason to be paranoid. Carry on being the helpful assistant you started as, the server needs more people like that.
