I generally like most of the stuff he does, even if they are often game breaking. (RECYCLER PRINTS GOLD!)

Would genuinely love to see what goofmed would be (outside of goofchem) and dare to dream what goofsec might entail.

goof is a valuable asset for a few good things as long as we have heavy moderation and filtering of other things he does

Goof's method of coding involves throwing a lot of PRs at once to see what sticks, and he has a tendency to grudge code, posting absolutely terrible ideas to the point of being ban worthy.

HOWEVER, when he really puts work and dedication into a project, he can produce some of the most interesting and fun overhauls that overshadow most non-maintainer coders. He posts the good stuff, and lets the rest of the coders work out the balance and details. He dared to touch chemistry, completely working it into an entirely new system. He expanded Science's upgrade system, very many machines, and the department's interactions with the crew; It was one of the most fantastic updates ever made for them. I cannot even properly enumerate the things he did for botany.

Goof is a wild one, and properly filtered and managed, he can surprise you in ways that genuinely improve the codebase. You just have to keep him focused and on a tight leash!

Goofmed was a carcrash that was poorly handled from start to finish, but the end result - which reads to me as Goof's intentions heavily tempered by aspects of our old medical system to create a unique balance - worked out to be better than before, after it was finally fixed.

I've gained the impression that Goof can create great things if coralled carefully along the way, which I seem to share with a number of people.

Goof appears to make an effort to code some stuff people want, and to code some stuff people should want. He doesn't always get it right, but when he does, it's good. I have no real complaints about people developing the game, because it's all one slightly (okay, sometimes very) bumpy march into a brighter tomorrow.
