I've been playing this game on and off for 9 years now and it might be amusing to drag a bunch of you in to run some pirate cruises.

It's a good game with a fucked up economy, but that doesn't mean it's not fun. Put a post in here if you're interested in joining me sailing around as a bunch of pirates, stealing looting and pillaging from whatever we can find

Game has issues with the ingame economy, but the puzzles are solid and everyone on the ship effects everyone else. Since I have a ship(Multiple even), spare cash, and time to do nothing whatsoever I may as well go ahead and see if anyone wants to join up

Sadly, creating our own crew requires actual dosh(Or for me to spend litterally all my savings on it and then not being able to buy cannonballs), so for now just send a message to Xenus ingame with /tell Xenus to get me to pull you into an ancient crew that's pretty much just dead

If we decide to stick with it after a few days, I'll shell out some cash and get us a fancy Bum Pirates crew thing and we can all bum together!

You've missed a whole lot of puzzle pirate updates
A few new puzzles, oceans got merged because players keep leaving(You're now Emerald ocean), and sea monster hunting just kept getting new shit added to it that's only for a select few to enjoy
They also added some neat pillage stuff

I've got myself three ships and would love taking them out, but my battle navigation is shit-tier. Will be poking you in a bit. Maybe I can supply the ship and then you can do the whole navigation thing. That would be pretty good

Yeah I have fuck all for navigation. Im sure I'm very rusty at it too. If I were to get back into it I might pick up again though. I've never been too thrilled with the sage ocean, I've always wanted to go somewhere more populated, and I'm glad the game is getting more updates, when I left we were in a huge dry spell and I was really worried for the future of the game.

I believe I have a stocked warbrig, no I don't care if you take it out so long as you make some effort of restocking it when you can. Whenever I get some free time here soon from work I'll get on with you guys if we plan on making this a thing.

I made 55k in a few hours of what is actually somewhat unique and interesting gameplay(Though it's not a puzzle), compared to what would be a few thousands at most if I had spend the time pillaging instead
Aside from that, you get shiny trinkets, furniture, and clothing from it sometimes

Only problem with it is that you need a bravery badge, which will cost you about 20k with current dubloon prices
Dubloons are the worst thing to happen to puzzle pirates' economy

I wanted to play poker and it was the only table. Also people like that are in literally every table unless you make a brand new one. There's always the one guy who won a big hand and proceeded to force folds/all ins and dictate the rest of the game.

I.E. That guy at the 20k max buyin table who had 460,000 on him who won every single hand he played or at least made everybody else fold and took their 200 gold ante.

this strategy is flawed because it relies on you having infinite money, or at least enough to compete with the shitters who do this. they are generally not broke, they have a lot of money to piss into the void, especially compared to someone who just started playing the game three days ago via 2d spessmens. if you had infinite money you could outlast them, but in real life there's a nonzero chance your double aces will get their asses kicked by urist mcallin's 2-6 through shitty luck and you're not only boned but boned by a moron. (this is incidentally the same reason most "betting strategies" are hilarious bullshit)
