I randomly rewatched the old video of Team Canada's humiliating defeat at the hands of Team America and wondered...

...do people have it in them to COMPETE? Can they assemble 3-person teams for HOCKEY? domination?

It's an awesomely shitty 3D rendered first-person multiplayer hockey game. It's laggy as fuck and controls like garbage. Still, if you embrace the complete garbage-like quality of it and recruit some friends it's quite fun and there is some skill to it.

How the fuck is this going to work?
If people actually are interested in playing, I'll volunteer to host/schedule/officiate/record/commentate over a double-elimination bracket. I'll refrain from playing because the game has a pretty serious host-advantage.

If you have it in you to STRIKE THE ICE you will need to:
1) Get the game (version .55 for windows)
2) Recruit two friends
3) Make sure they get the game
4) Post ITT with your team name and roster
5) Await scheduling

Technically if we crammed the free agents into a loose coalition of mercenary players we could do a 3-team tournament already. Someone just gets a first-round by but it's not a big deal.

Nothing to spectate until people get back to me and confirm they have teams.

I plan on recording the matches and getting some hockey commentary over them so everyone can enjoy. Apparently the Hockey Hype is not at sufficient levels yet though.
