Blackwake is a first person battleship game akin to the likes of Guns of Icarus. Pirates and royal British Navy fight eachother in a 54 player server. It has a bunch of cool shit. It's $17 on Steam.

-Big ship with 13 players and a shit ton of cannons
-Small but fast ship with 7 players and a few cannons
-The ability to ram into an enemy ship to board them or use a grapple to pull them to you
-A bunch of different weapons to use for when you are boarding
-The ability to drink tea to heal
-Ship destruction
-Character customization
-DEDICATED SERVERS

It's an early access game that's been in the making by 2 guys for years now. I'd imagine they'll eventually go back and do new animations, and they still have some sounds and 3rd person reload animations to add.

Sure. I didn't meant it as a super negative, just that the whole gameplay and looks (except for increased fidelity) reminded me of Mount and Blade, which is a compliment.

20bux is doable at the moment, and GTA V online is turning out to be much less interesting than I had hoped so my schedule is opening up much faster than expected

I've been playing all day this game is amazing

I like how it requires a halfway competent captain and team to actually work

Getting on a hoy where everyone has a mic and the captain is experienced is incredible. Went around fucking shit up and blowing away royals while cheering and shouting during boarding fights. Good game. Best way i've seen for taking out enemy hoys is to fill them full of holes, ram them and kill their pumpers. Grapples are riskier but more fun.

Just make a black pirate and start mutiny votes while saying "I am de kepten now" a lot.
