Joey's first palm goes crashing down into the top of the bear's skull, sending it to the ground. He then raises a big, flabby leg past his head into the air, bringing it down hard upon the bear's head. The bear's limbs stick out stiff when the foot connects, then go limp.

You manage to make a rough but still usable pelt out of the bear, though some bits of meat were procured in a way making them definitely not worth taking with you. You feel your ancestors stare down at you from the Great Ship of the Sky in a mixture of shame and disappointment. At the very least, you gain a pretty-but-slightly-bloodstained pelt and an extra 4 days of rations' worth of meat to split amongst yourselves.

Once Karag is done butchering the bear, Marko dons the pelt. You must admit, he does look rather snazzy in it. The party also takes inventory of the meat they gathered, ready to move on. The sun is starting to set, and you don't want to be moving through Knoss at night, even if you are near a military outpost. As you finish tying up the meat, you look to the skies. They're clearer now, but the strange creatures flying through them have vanished. Odd.

The march onward is a slow, quiet slog, save for Bizarre freestyling with his strange (some might even say bizarre) innards-instrument. The tunes range anywhere from odd sputtering to ear-maiming high-pitched squealing. He finds it pleasant regardless. Eventually, the sun retreats past the horizon, and the cold black dark of night meets you. Before panic sets in, however, you raise a hand above your brow, thinking you might spot something in the distance.

Marko points at a shape just ahead. A small settlement comprised of makeshift tents and shacks hastily thrown together from pelts and trees. Just outside the village, Karag sees men standing out in the cold with torches, wearing heavy suits of mail and tabards sporting a blue field and a black morningstar as the sigil. King Miller's men.

You think you just found your place to rest for the night as you approach.
