Ban reason: Calling someone a pedophile "flippantly' and telling them to kill themself
Your side of the story: Some sicko was defending "lolicon" [drawn child pornography] i said harsh words to them for this and i was forum banned
Why you think you should be unbanned:I did not call this person a pedophile[to my memory]. Saying that i told them to kill themself is a stretch. Everything i said to them was justified given the context. This persons posts have not been removed from the thread, yet mine have, so presumably, you have no issue with what they were saying in the thread, but do take issue with what i have said. I want you to explain to me why you deem it acceptable for someone to argue in the defense of pedophillia, but deem it unacceptable for me to be mean to people who engage in the latter
Anything else we should know: i dont know how to view the ban length or reason and i also cannot see my own posts that were deleted so please forgive me for any missing information. Also it said "in-game permabanned' under my name when i viewed my profile and it gave me a heart attack.[im not permabanned] Also, could you please show the content of my posts and the other persons posts [before they edited them to be different] for clarity, please?

The headmin team have discussed this with Rave internally and we've agreed the headmins will be responding to this appeal directly.

It may take a hot minute to get back to you on but we are actively discussing it.

In the interim, I can offer the following information:
The duration is a week and it is set to expire in approximately 4 and a half days. It has to be manually removed.

It was placed partially due to your post history on the forums and partially due to the contents of the posts themselves. You should be able to see your own warnings, as I believe you were warned for each deleted post.

Here are the deletion reasons for the 3 posts. I will not crosslink the contents of the deleted posts here, the deletion reasons stand on their own merit.

It was originally a full forum ban, but MSO let me give Rave the tools to make it to a "soft" forum ban, which is done by adding you to a dedicated forum group and restricts you to only ban appeals and admin complaints. This group likely changed your forum role to "In-Game PermaBanned" and is something I'll look at adjusting in the coming days. It has no in-game impact and is purely a weird quirk of the forum and group setup.

We feel the ban is justified based on your post history and the deleted posts, and the length of one week is reasonable.

We will not repeat the contents of the posts you made, except to state that the headmins have read them and we agree they were bad enough to merit deletion and your post history was poor enough to justify a temporary ban. The deletion reasons are of course available in my reply above.

Any action taken or warnings against other forum posters may not always be publicised. Not removing certain posts is not an endorsement of or agreement with the content of said posts.

Regardless of what other people post, you and you alone are responsible for the content of your own posts. If you see something you disagree with that you believe breaks any forum rule, please report it and we will do our best to handle it.

As a side note, MSO has given the greenlight for Mothblocks to create a new forum extension to allow deletion reasons to be public again. They used to be public but now they're not, so keep an eye out for that returning in the future.
