Your side of the story: ExcessiveUseOfN2O. As far as I was aware n2o wasn't harmful, and DOES make me valid. Hell the first round I did it I got all of my limbs hacked off and didn't so much as get angry, or ahelp or anything in regards to it. The next round I did do it again. That being said...IT is something I do. Not EVERY single round, but it WAS becoming a bit of a routine. I can and will acknowledge that. Anyway I got bwoink'd and they basically told me that I couldn't touch N2O as non antag again or I'd eat a ban, and then the conversation went into what can you and can you not do as non antag. Space Lube? Nope. Water Vapor? Nope. Soap? Nope.

Why you think you should be unbanned: I think a note is a bit harsh. I have in the past had admins bwoink me and just tell me to slow it down, or take it easy with shit I'm doing...I'm capable of listening, but as far as I know, n2o doesn't kill you, it mildly inconveniences you? I think literally not being able to touch a tank of it ever again unless antag is a bit harsh. I'm terrible at this game. I get it. But it's Nitrous Oxide. The conversation devolved into a bit more than just releasing gas...it eventually got into space lube and water vapor being actionable. A mime that I've seen playing pretty regularly water vapors the hallway near sec pretty routinely and the admin said that, that was "actionable."

The numerous things I see greytiders doing that include space lube and water vapor cans etc.. I just think not ever being able to touch a canister is excessive :( I did think about the context last night and realized that late at night when the server has very few people contextually...it's the correct call. With only a handful of people on it can severely impact a round, but generally on a more populated round it's pretty easily fixed with scrubbers. PLUS! I mostly just deploy it because it makes people giggle IC..... I haven't yet figured out how to isolate only the laughing part :/ I was thinking a higher concentration of Oxygen, but....basically with this note I'm not going to be able to goof around with the mixture in toxins.

Digging myself a deeper hole how? I didn't touch a single tank after the note. You're acting like I touched a tank after the initial note which is bullshit. Furthermore I'm not looking to knock people out and ruin their round. I literally release it to give the giggling effect. I explained this in my appeal. I don't quite know the correct concentration to just make people laugh. With the note as it stands I can't even experiment.

This is literally why I don't bother coming to the forums for 90% of the shit that happens. You fuckers just pile on. Sorry I took the time to appeal something I felt was appealable. I'll be sure to shove any further problems I have with admins up my ass.

This note isn't appealable. That's what we're trying to get through your thick skull. You're not allowed to flood N2O whether you have the note or not. You got caught doing it and you got a note for it so admins know that you have been warned about it. If you do it again, you'll get a ban. It's really quite simple.

Looking into the timezones between server time (UTC/GMT) and EST which is where Nilons is then they asked Nilons if it was bannable roughly 1 minute after the note was put into place.

So I do not believe they asked Nilons before the incident happened but afterwards.

Alright well according to adminbus he seemed to believe he was so in the wrong he decided to up the note to a self-induced permaban so I believe we're done here.
