Your side of the story: Me and another individual were trying to get into/see if science had advanced engineering done, so we could print an RCD and go to lavaland. The other person (Gor-Rok) got assaulted by Newman. I shoved him onto a glass table to stun him, then disposalled him, to end the situation. He came back for revenge, I tried to somewhat 'roleplay' it and warned him with the shotgun I had. He proceeds to still try to attack me and I shoot. This continues, to a point where he repeteadly punches me and I fire again at some point. This unfortunately decapitates him through RNG. I bring his body and head to medbay, make sure they're attached together and defib him myself. I end up afterwards helping Newman chase down some one who robbed him and then the bwoink starts.

Why you think you should be unbanned: He came back for revenge for getting disposalled after the initial contact. When warned ICly to not start punching or a fight, even when shot once, he still attempted to keep the fight going. It just seem silly that to keep escalation going, then ahelp as soon as it doesn't end in your favor. He got decapitated by pure RNG and I made sure he got revived and healed. I did end up disconnecting but with all due respect you can't expect some one to stay on for ages to keep repeating the same conversation.

You went over to someone trying to stop a perceived tider (Gor-Rok, who was breaking into science with a butcher's cleaver as an assistant), shoved them into a glass table, threw them into a disposals bin, and then used that as an excuse to shoot him to death with a shotgun you stole from the bartender's backroom when he later came back to stop the tiding. I don't know if it makes sense to lethally escalate against someone defending their department (shoving someone into a glass table and disposal-ing them), and then use the fact that they punched you in turn to pump them full of improvised shotgun pellets.

The fact that you're escalating against someone defending their department from a perceived tider, and bringing that to the point of sending them into disposals is the issue, decapitating them is another. Not only is the fact that you were "trying to find out if advanced engineering was researched" nonsense considering that Gor-Rok was breaking in with a butcher's cleaver instead of just talking to the scientist right there, but Hegele didn't attack you at all, he shoved the person actively breaking the window. As such, and considering your extensive note history of over escalation and aggressive tiding, I will be denying this appeal.

We had already left science, haven spoken to a scientist in there. He came back and followed us to the hallway above medbay. There is no tiding to stop, it's about getting even since I disposalled him. For transparency this is the entire encounter as far as I am aware after the disposalling.

As I said in the ticket (which is linked in my initial post), I didn't mean to decapitate him, that's some bad luck RNG and can just happen with projectiles, even with normal punches given certain circumstances. I healed him, made sure he was fine and later even helped him during a squabble he had with some one stealing from him. It just felt like an ahelp made because the fight he wanted himself at that point, didn't go his way.

If possible I'd like a second opinion on this matter.

Upon further investigation of this appeal, I'm going to change the ban reasoning to:

When a scientist was attempting to prevent a tider from breaking into science, Maxoesss attacked the scientist harmfully, sending them into disposals after kicking them onto glass tables. As a non-antagonist it is not okay to escalate against people defending their department.

This should better reflect the banning reason, though I would advise you to be less combative in tickets in the future, admins are people too and we're just trying to find out what's going on.
