Your side of the story: We were in the shuttle, I was in a shell when I saw an atmos tech (Theo Prastus if I'm not mistaken) walking toward the shuttle with a T3 canister that had his second pressure light on. I thought that would lead to human harm aboard the shuttle and dragged it away before opening it slightly in the hallway to check the content, turns out it actually was plasma and then I was flashed before I could close the canister again, and something ignited the plasma in the hallway. We then proceeded to evacuate normally, and I only disconnected after seeing the round end report, so I didn't even know I was in trouble.
Why you think you should be unbanned: Firstly, I didn't disconnect until the shift was done, and I didn't even know I was in trouble. And I thought that the canister being brought unto the shuttle would lead to massive harm further down the line, especially if the content of the canister was harmful (which it was). Admittedly I shouldn't have opened it in the hallway and instead just checked the content or hid it but I was super tired after the stressful shift and I was in a standard shell which does not have an analyzer.
References of good conduct: I've been playing on /TG/ and especially Manuel very regularly for months now and I'm pretty sure most of the admin team can attest that I try my best to follow the rules, and that I have been a good player on the server. My other statics include Kathy Ryals (The one I play the most), and Anderson Auman.

Cimika didn't DC after opening the can and instead DCed after the round had ended. Of course I'm not privy to the timings of admin actions beyond the public logs, so I can't say whether she DC'ed after she was bwoinked or not.

I'm not certain, but I would believe the fire probably started from Theo attacking the AI's shell with a hand drill. Probably sparked and lit the Plasma/BZ Mix from Theo's can.

The logs seem to line up with Cimika's version of events including her IC explanation.

It doesn't seem to have been taken into account with this ban, but the N2O flood mentioned by Jayla was not Cimika.

They weren’t bwoinked which is why they were banned because all I had was an ahelp about a borg taking a canister and opening it w spicy gas in a public area and the borg just so happened to have dc’d at this time. Unfortunately no one was on so I had to come on and look from the logs what transpired.

If I recall correctly the href logs showed they had opened the valve which is why I knew it was them.

I am fine with chalking this up to a “stressful round makes us prone to mistakes, prob could have handled it better”, remove the ban, and have the note more accurately reflect what happened now that I have both sides of the story. The note remains to ensure you don’t “face-check” a potential naughty canister in the halls as an Asimov(+custom) borg again.

If you do something like open a canister in a public hall and find out it contained naughty gas as an asimov (+custom) borg, I highly recommend preemptively ahelping the mistake and explanation before disconnecting especially if an admin isn’t online (to clarify the round did end when I joined but it did not roll over yet).

As an aside, thank you for trying to get the facts per the logs although I think a portion of your post borders peanut. Please try to keep logposting to just the logs with perhaps factual context (IE speculation about what transpired outside of what you could find is an aside rather than framing the context of when these lines were said) as well as include a link.

Posting as a forum mod to confirm what Cobby said, please follow the rules on posting logs, specifically the below rules:

• Any omissions of in between lines must be clearly marked in-line to the logs along with a brief description giving a rough amount of the lines removed, what they contained, and why they were removed
  
  • -snip-(500 lines of the clown slipping the hos in the other room removed for being irrelevant)
• You must link to the log file you got the logs from to make it easier to validate the context
