Your side of the story: Minding my own business on /tg/, whatever. Accidently post a trollface ASCII art in Medical Comms, aka In-Character. Admin confronts me about it, tell him I won't do it anymore. Then he starts ragging on me about my in game name. Like, seriously? I happen to have a friend in real life named Teegee-Ad. This ban is obviously prejudice against me.
Why you think you should be unbanned: This is what happens when you don't do a thorough admin selection process. I don't think this admin is following Rule 11 and is clearly discriminating against people who have this name. The fact that I cannot name my character is very demeaning. Even if I am not allowed to name my character this, I could have been told how to change it, or at least talked to a little less offensively.

Hopefully this ban length can be looked at again, obviously it's way too long for this kind of offense. Thanks

First of all, a week is way too long for a ban like this. Secondly, you never told me how to change my character's name while I was still playing them in-game, so I didn't even really get a chance. I'm so sick of getting pushed around by admins who love having all the power in the world to ban people over something minimal like this. I'm sorry if I didn't instantly comply and roll over when you ticketed me on my name, and I'd also like to apologize to every player who's gameplay experience was ruined by something so trivial as a single trollface in IC comms and a stupid name, and I know that I have notes on my account for other stupid things. But I still fail to see how a 7 day ban is fair for goofing around a little bit during the ticket process. So please, a response a little longer than 'no' would definitely help out a lot here.

So, at your request here is a longer response.

Jaredfogle has done their due diligence and has honestly given you more of their time than you deserve. You either deliberately or ignorantly broke our server rules, of which I do not care for the difference given the rhetoric you've supplied us. That name is bad and it breaks naming policy by being excessively OOC.

Coupled with the further deliberate break of our server rules by posting that second ASCII face into IC chat after being explicitly told not to makes the week ban justified in this instance.

Spend this next week somewhere else and please re-read our server rules before coming back.
