Your side of the story: When the shift started Abdul al Qanim has selected as acting captain. I asked for his CMO ID card and he gaved to me and promoted me to CMO. I wanted to make medbay look a bit messy and fancy with some blood on the ground. So I cutted Punpun , besty and a single chicken. There was a guy named Jack or Jake I am not sure but going to call it Jake. Jake wanted to clean the ground I warned him several times and he didnt listen. I shoved him and said stop and he shoved to as understandable. we started a bit shoving and he fisted I fisted I was keep fisting and he took a toolbox in his hands. Dont know if he hit me but I sawed him 1 time and let him escape. Yelled over radio several times ' I respect your work but please dont touch the ground' he touched it again. Fast forward, he sawed me put me to crit and someone healed me up. I asked him to give my ID and headset back cause I was the CMO and he said ' move away assistant ' or ' you are an assistant '. I was still nice and he refused it. There was a medbay worker was not cleanning the grounds cause I asked him nicely just like I did to jake. I just said Im gonna kill him and that med guy gaved me a gun and I walked forward to Jake ' Give my ID back '. He answered ' Are you going to threat me with a gun ' I shoot him and put him to stasis. He wasnt dead he was crit. When I cuffed his hands FatalX1 messaged me. Last few words, In my opinion he refused to see I warned the guy tons of times as his superior. Thanks for reading.
Why you think you should be unbanned: I asked him nicely shit tons of times. There is logs you guys can check it. I wasnt angry about he put me in crit not a big deal for me. Deal was being not respectful and not giving my ID back and calling his superior assistant. Which could be true at the beginning of the shift but I was the CMO. Including my rights I wanted to keep this nice as possible but its his fault. I think I was nice all along the situation. Thats why I think I need to get unbanned. I did everything on the rule book asked him tons of times.

Now the reason you were banned is for shooting the other doctor, Jack Waters, AFTER you were revived, this is in contradiction to escalation rules

As you say, you were promoted to CMO by the acting Captain CMO who gave you their ID (but didn't actually upgrade your ID)

This second instance of violence is what got you banned, here is escalation policy for clarification

As a non-antagonist you may begin conflict with another player with valid reason (refusal of critical services, belligerent attitude, etc) OR if it does not excessively interfere with their ability to do their job. Whomever you engage is entitled to respond to your actions. If the conflict leads to violence and you had a poor reason for causing conflict in the first place, you may face administrative action.

If you are wronged, you are expected to handle the conflict non-lethally whenever possible, escalating in severity as the conflict continues. As the defending party the rate of escalation increases with you, up to and including violence, while the instigator is always able to respond in kind.

If a conflict leads to violence and either participant is incapacitated, the standing participant is expected to make an effort to treat the other, unless they have reason to believe the other was an antagonist. Once treated the conflict is over; any new conflict with either individual must escalate once again. If you get into a conflict again with that individual, they may be removed permanently from the round.

As you were treated and healed, I'm of the opinion that the second conflict is a seperate conflict, and given that you never asked Jack for the ID or headset back, and simply chose to attack him, crit him and steal it, that this is over-escalation

In our admin PMs you didn't seem to understand the seperation of the two conflicts and I hope this clears things up

The first conflict, ended when you were in crit

The second conflict, begins when Jack took the ID from you

Here is the part of escalation policy I feel most appropriate for this:

If you are wronged, you are expected to handle the conflict non-lethally whenever possible, escalating in severity as the conflict continues. As the defending party the rate of escalation increases with you, up to and including violence, while the instigator is always able to respond in kind.


You were wronged, you did not make any attempt (I don't see your talking as an attempt to reclaim your ID given you never actually said words to the effect of asking for it back) to reclaim your ID using any shoves, or stuns, or getting security involved (to be honest there wasn't much security so I can't fault that), you jumped straight (well, after a few minutes) to shooting him with a gun and I feel your words and actions in my original reply show your intent was revenge, not solely reclaiming the ID

You said you feel I am holding sides, well yes, I am of the side of you breaking the rules and me trying to explain WHERE you went wrong, I'm not of the notion of banning you and having done with it as punishment, I would rather you learned from this and were a better player in future, you have a history of arguing with admins talking to you and trying to defend your actions and not accepting responsibility or understanding where you went wrong

If you still aren't happy with this you get the headmins to look at it, I'm not sure I have anything more to add that will convince you, and I'm fairly certain there's nothing you can say that can convince me otherwise, the only exception would be changing the note (because the note hit the character limit it could be phrased better)

I tried to claim it back while talking as the way, you are talking about I've should say " Jack give me the ID back ". Jack didn't even answered me I asked several times if he was even listenning. He called me an assistant I was his superior at that time. I didn't break the escalation rules or whatever you wish to call cause the escalation wasnt ended. I even try to speak in your term language but seems like pointless. If I've done anything wrong I can accept it happily but seems like Im not wrong in here.

Jack could say ' Yes ? ' ' Stop bothering me ' or anything that could help me. It is not my fault to happen he had my ID card and I even tried to ask but guess what, HE DIDNT ANSWERED!! Jack's Fault;
1- Refused to listen head of his department ( Which is acceptable can happen anytime this is not a big issue. Even not an issue for me)

By assuming the role of head of staff, you have higher authority and higher expectations placed upon you. However, you are not an alien queen, and your staff are not your hivemind. If you make ridiculous requests, your staff have no obligation to fulfill them. This is a concept you have so far been unable to grasp, both in this appeal and in your original ticket. It does not matter how nicely you ask, admins have absolutely no reason to protect you. Ignoring it just being hideous (agree to disagree, I suppose), blood on the ground carries the chance to spread diseases. It's absurd to expect medical doctors not to have an issue with that.

That doesn't mean you're not allowed to make ridiculous requests (within reason of "ridiculous", anyway), but you only have so much opportunity to actually enforce it before you cross the line to the point that someone like FatalX1 has to step in.

In your case, as Fatal has posted, you start the violent escalation, eventually get caught into conflict again, lose, and then are treated. Per escalation policy:

If the conflict leads to violence and you had a poor reason for causing conflict in the first place, you may face administrative action.

If a conflict leads to violence and either participant is incapacitated, the standing participant is expected to make an effort to treat the other, unless they have reason to believe the other was an antagonist. Once treated the conflict is over; any new conflict with either individual must escalate once again.

You had a stupid reason for getting into violent conflict, and were given the courtesy of staying in the round. Your ID was taken away from you because, as Fatal told you:

You have the CMO ID, and if you want to act like an irresponsible CMO and threaten your staff with a circular saw, don't be fucking surprised when you get demoted

Your response to this shows accurately your misunderstanding of your role as CMO.
