Why should this appeal be accepted?: Hey I feel like the ban is a bit bullshit. Security plays to die at this point I told the detective before he entered the kitchen he was gonna die and other security officers.

I was quoted a rule during the ahelp: Causing death and destruction to help with indirectly accomplishing objectives must have an in-character roleplay reason. If questioned about a chain of events involving indirect actions, the antagonist should be able to clearly explain what events in the current shift led them to their course of action without resorting to hypotheticals. I cant give a roleplay reason for death and destruction based on someones free will to rush at me, yeah maybe it was a dick move I don't think it was a week ban worthy. I'm under the assumption you play security to chase after said threat, and die or live beating said threat. This whole ban seems terrible?

The ban is a week long because no matter what administrative action is taken against you, you're just not getting it. You're coming off a ban from last month that was placed under eerily similar circumstances. Whatever your attitude towards the game is, it's completely contrary to the type of atmosphere we'd like to cultivate on Manuel, much less TG as a whole.

Nothing you've presented here makes me inclined to reduce or lift this ban.

Said ban from a month ago was a chef who was not letting security arrest two fucking antagonists who were waltzing around murdering people, so he decided to hit everyone in the kitchen. when we were trying to grab them and go, it was not assault at most because cqc is a huge fucking risk in a kitchen that no one sane wants to be around because you can DIE AND STAY THERE!

As a reminder, Spy is a full Rule 4 antagonist. On MRP their primary restriction is against murderbone, whis is generally defined as "killing someone with no reason".

In addition, RP Rule Five Precedent 1 says:

"Objectives are suggestions, and antagonists are free to ignore them if they have a preferred or more interesting idea for their course of action."

this has taken a while to discuss and a lot of us are torn on this, because it's a case of multiple things colliding at once and creating an issue where regularly it would just be a note or a talking to.

we are choosing to reduce this ban to time-served, opinions have differed a lot on the actual minutiae around the gibbing which has been the majority of discussion behind the scenes, but we are in agreement that these issues with your playstyle are becoming a common trend, and the point being made with this ban makes it relevant and i would like you to put some effort into understanding what you're being asked by admins.

generally this use of a restricted antag isn't something we like to see on manuel, but i think it's perfectly fine in the context of the skub station trait, and everything you did up to the actual gibbing i have no problem with personally. it was IC and roleplayed.

the round-removal used here was questionable at best and is something that i think is perfectly fine in an lrp environment, but as a restricted antagonist who gained no advantage from hard RR'ing a detective who turned up to see what all the yelling was about as you executed 2 people in full view of the crew is really pushing the boundaries. i get that it was an opportunistic thing that you did in the moment, but it is indicative of a playstyle that we're unable to talk to you about, hence the escalating punishment.

the main fact that you're leaning on in that you warned the detective is also false. i don't believe this is intentional, perhaps you misremembered, but the fact is that it's not true. you warned them afterwards.

the IC reasoning for your gimmick was to supposedly execute pro-skub crew and you were using chef's cqc to achieve this. had it been a case where you had IC reasoning to make burgers out of them, or any outcome such as this, i think things could start to look different.

this is the fourth note this month alone regarding this sort of thing, and it's becoming a running theme where you're choosing to not discuss things in tickets with admins. this is concerning to me and i would like to ask you to try and understand what's happening here. this ban would've been possibly a note, at most a dayban for any other player. might even just be a discussion without any consequences. but your history combined with the fact that you seem to not be responsive to attempts at discussing things with you is creating this situation where admins are choosing to just remove you from the space.

we need to put a stop to this. you aren't a bad player, you're liked by a lot of people, me included, and i want to deconstruct the combative sentiment that's built up between you and admins. please let us try to help you. please make an attempt to calmly explain your side in tickets so that a dialogue with admins can take place and a resolution can be found.

I simply do not think that RR is the end of the world and the seccie walking into the kitchen is such a huge skill issue that they lowkey deserve the gib. HOWEVER.
The fact that gupta is getting note after note, he's not engaging.

kieth was very torn on this but is in agreement that overturning would erase a very important point that is being made here and would put you at risk for further and worse punishment if you don't take the hint now and work with us.
