Maybe a new logo?

Wiki needs a new logo. Was bored. Doodled this up. I'm rather pleased with myself that the star in the background has 13 points.

EDIT: PS if anyone wants to use these somewhere PLEASE get in touch so I can provide you with high quality vector files.

To use these files, copy and paste the text into a new document and save it with a .svg extension.

Note that both of the path elements have a "tglogo" class, and are ID'd separately for ease of styling.

This logo in nanotrasen blue would probably be a cool replacement in the right areas.

SVG versions here:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/197 ... g-logo.svg
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/197 ... 3-logo.svg

Those should work with GIMP/Inkscape (My workflow is Adobe so I dunno how well all of this translates)

If you need any other formats lemme know.

EDIT: Here's how the logo might look on the wiki, just for shits and giggles.

Done.

It will randomly pick the 13 or tg version.

Can you change the logo on the https://tgstation13.org/ homepage too?

Hah. So, as it turns out, if you're one of those cool kids with a HiDPI display like me, MediaWiki will override the logo to serve you a hi-res version of the default logo. As much as I appreciate the thought, I don't get to see the new logo.

Luckily, there's a fix.

I took the liberty of adapting the CSS from that page:

Code: Select all

@media (-webkit-min-device-pixel-ratio: 1.5), (min--moz-device-pixel-ratio: 1.5), (min-resolution: 1.5dppx), (min-resolution: 144dpi) {
  #p-logo a {
    background-image: url(/wiki/skins/tgs-13-logo-1.5x.png);
  }
}
@media (-webkit-min-device-pixel-ratio: 2), (min--moz-device-pixel-ratio: 2), (min-resolution: 2dppx), (min-resolution: 192dpi) {
  #p-logo a {
    background-image: url(/wiki/skins/tgs-13-logo-2x.png);
  }
}
I just need someone to upload the images and add that CSS to the site.

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/197 ... o-1.5x.png
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/197 ... ogo-2x.png
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/197 ... o-1.5x.png
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/197 ... ogo-2x.png
(please don't link against these dropbox URLs)

A css fix won't work.

As i said in the post above, it will randomly pick from the two versions, so i need a way to have the css do the same,

what i'll likely do is disable that feature from the css and work on updating wikipedia at a later date so i can use the hd thingy
