Maintainers are free to close PRs they think are negative for the game, at which point you may appeal up the chain of command and the decision can be reversed (which is what happened in this case).

not being able to see what someone deleted leaves room for emotional decisions which is bad when there is one person in charge of something. additionally, trusting someones judgement on something you admitted to not knowing specifically is bad and narrow sighted.

by this same logic, if theres four pages of logical and well thought out comments and then i post six comments about bullshit and then theres another eighteen comments after that of logical comments, you therefore must delete all the comments because of what i posted.
making a choice to delete all the comments because some we're bad is bad.

why does a codebase you claim to be absolutely separate from the game have a appealing process for choices maintainers make.
if you want to impose tyranny, impose tyranny. just don't pretend to be democratic.
