Separate post - precedent: Generally admins have been held to hold a role as a GM (in the D&D sense) over the round and to usher the round in certain directions - such as introducing conflict to the round if there is a lack of it. There is also some (though lesser) precedent for admins being allowed to give a wronged party some form of possible revenge as a form of less ostentatious managing of players. Minor acts such as spawning toolbelts has generally been held to be within the general remit of the admins so long as it does not unduly influence the round (i.e. giving a toolbelt to a traitor in permabrig, for example).

As long as there's no indication they're spawning items for cheaty reasons like to be a pocket admin for their buddy and cheat by proxy, I don't care that he spawned some toolbelts.

As for spawning in a loneop?

On Manuel, sec once used a Scrying Orb from a dead wizard to start validhunting all the other antags. So I made the AI malf and they instantly validhunted that. So I sent in another wizard and nukies. And probably some other anatgs we just pushed buttons to "challenge the sec" team slight underscore smile.

They couldn't validhunt that. The shift ended in a bloodbath as the wizard and its apprentices (including some formerly validhunted antags in apprentice form) laid waste to the station while the nukies carefully avoided them so they could arm the nuke.

I've promoted players to Centcom officials when sec has fucked with them IC and tasked them with investigating corruption of the shitsec that just arrested them.

Which is to say that this was based.

From my understanding of the discussion around it, there's a genuine chance Isratosh could have been noting or banning people over some of their shittery but instead made an SS13 moment out of it.

Admins can make SS13 moments happen. There's nothing complaint worthy here in that, unless there's more to your complaint than that?

I took these actions because I was summoned on to the server by an urgent adminhelp at 4 o'clock in the morning asking me to look into a long and dumb conflict between Turbo Junior and the AI (you), captain, and head of security. I was not privy to the beginning or middle of this conflict and investigating it would have taken more time and effort from me and these 4 players than the stupid situation was worth. From what I could gather from my look at the logs, Turbo Junior was being essentially bullied (or trolled as you put it) by you, the captain, and the head of security with varying levels of involvement. You took his pants off and nicked his PDA, and the captain actively prevented you from following Junior's orders to return it by giving conflicting ones. This incident sparked Junior to say some mean words to you over the radio, for which the head of security arrested him and tossed him into the brig for 3 minutes. When this timer hit 30 seconds, you upped it to 3 minutes again. When he was eventually released, the head of security refused to return his belt for some reason. At this point I just felt bad for the guy and spawned him a new one to get this shit over with, he didn't ask me to do it. The HoS continued to be an ass by taking the first one, and then stunning and almost handcuffing him again for having the second one. Yes, this spawning action was silly and I could have just left it.

I logged off at this point. Junior here cut a few cameras in my absence, I'm sure just to spite you. He was then chased down by the head of security, arrested, stripped of all his belongings, and put into a straitjacket to be carted off to the escape wing for the incoming emergency shuttle. This generated another urgent adminhelp that I logged on again to answer. At this point, the shuttle was on its way, and it was clear to me that Junior was being abused by security and the AI bored of the greenshift. I asked Junior if he would feel satisfied if I turned him into a lone operative to get revenge, he happily agreed, and he handily took down the armed warden, HoS, and captain all at once. I reserve the right to handle these situations as I see fit, and I'm sure this was somewhat preferable to me sending an admin PM to every involved member and delaying the round. You and security had your fun by jerking around an assistant all shift, he got his fun by filling them full of lead, and I got my fun by watching it happen.

Even if you have nothing that could be upheld on complaint, feedback is still feedback as long as it's phrased constructively.

We always invite players in complaints like this to instead consider posting some useful feedback on the admin's feedback page detailing your experiences and what you felt went right/wrong from your perspective etc.
