[Icepacks] Nilons - fuk law kil humie
Byond account and character name: Nilons - Ostrava of Nanotrasen
Admin: Icepacks
Time and Server(Bagil or Sybil) incident occurred: Bagil - 1:12 EST
Detailed summary: I was traitor chaplain and had gotten a steal on uplink implant so I was pretty much just holding onto my TCs, having spent four on a parapen and some random items with the leftovers in my uplink, only one I kept was syndie smokes which I kept in my box. I pushed someone over and the QM tried to taze me for it unsuccessfully so I took some time to fuck with them and followed them around after they'd missed every shot. They took out their PDA and dropped after I'd followed them into cargo bay so I picked it up and ran off, eventually I returned and began slapping them with the godhand null rod I picked. The cargo tech there got into the fight and total damage done was one cargo techs arm lopped off although still alive and well, and one QM beat into crit before I was flashed and dragged to sec by a random scientist and peace keeper borg. The only thing I'd done even remotely traitorish (Im not counting being in a fight as traitorish as then half the server would be valid) was use the parapen on the QM who didn't mention it to anyone or say anything about it, it didn't even knock them out I only dragged them around while they were under its effects. I found out at security that the borgs laws had been changed to make traitors and other antagonists inuman, posted below. As soon as I was in the brig someone began yelling over radio "Chaplain is valid as fuck go kill him", or variants thereof but always saying valid. I told the borg I was in danger of harm because they were trying to get me killed and he responded only with "TRAITORS MUST BE ERADICATED". The warden, being the sensible no admins griffer he was, decided that assault with no murders was worthy of removing my eyes and ears with his homemade surgery table and stolen tools. I pleaded with the borg, trying to explain that I hadn't done anything traitory, only gotten in a fight, but he kept saying I must be eradicated or annihilated. I ahelped this entire situation because it was horseshit and got ic issued initially, I reahelped thinking I must have left something crucial out and packs started talking to me about the situation. He started off saying he read the first one, then said "I ran up all like "MY ARM MY ARM MY ARM HAS THE POWER OF THE GOD HAND", and then said that would make me suspicious. At no point did I do any of that, and that's regular chaplain behavior. I told him that was blatantly not true and he didn't mention it again but told me "with a milky way dragon ass-kicking on the logs i can't do anything about it sorry" and then told me that's a pop culture reference. I asked him if that means a chaplain attacking someone makes them antag, because I know admins fucking love these hypotheticals and he told me that murdering them sure does, something I had not done. I asked him who I killed and he told me critting counted as the same. He then said he hates V.A.L.I.D.S too, ending the ahelp conversation. Apparently critting someone as chaplain, a job who does that every single shift at some point somehow, not a good thing but its definitely not out of the norm makes you verified traitor worthy of having your eyes and ears removed. At no point did anyone in this entire process search me and discover my syndie gear (1 pack of syndie smokes), only the warden who took off my bag, took the QMs ID out, and put it back on me even came close.

From your description the only thing Icepacks didn't do is take your side when you were salty. I don't believe this belongs as an admin complaint nor do I believe any action should be taken against Icepacks.
You play the game, you win, you lose. It's not the admin's fault.
So already you started executing your rights to troll someone (with the knowledge that you're an antagonist so you can get away with this and more).I pushed someone over and the QM tried to taze me for it unsuccessfully so I took some time to fuck with them and followed them around after they'd missed every shot. They took out their PDA and dropped after I'd followed them into cargo bay so I picked it up and ran off, eventually I returned and began slapping them with the godhand null rod I picked.
But here when it's done back to you for obviously shitty behavior you grow up in arms and blame it on the admin who has to have both you and the other player's interest in mind?Apparently critting someone as chaplain, a job who does that every single shift at some point somehow, not a good thing but its definitely not out of the norm makes you verified traitor worthy of having your eyes and ears removed

Re: [Icepacks] Nilons - fuk law kil humie
Except for the part where there were no designating factors that made me nonhuman when the borg allowed me to be harmed, you should read posts before you respond to them. As far as exercising my right to "troll", would you have rather I murderboned? This was all within pretty reasonable escalation over 10-20 minutes creating conflict within the station without removing a single person from the round. I'll be careful not to do anything that might make any other player sad next time I play antag because I wouldn't want to look like I'm exercising my right to "troll" and invalidate my round for slipping people.Krusvik wrote:From your description the only thing Icepacks didn't do is take your side when you were salty. I don't care about winning or losing or greentext, and don't know why you feel the need to devolve every situation here to winning ss13. The precedent being set is that critting someone falls under acting like an antag, specifically verifying you as traitor.Krusvik wrote:Apparently critting someone as chaplain, a job who does that every single shift at some point somehow, not a good thing but its definitely not out of the norm makes you verified traitor worthy of having your eyes and ears removed But here when it's done back to you for obviously shitty behavior you grow up in arms and blame it on the admin who has to have both you and the other player's interest in mind?

Edit: It is most definitely the admins fault when he accuses me of doing things I didn't do and rationalizes me being deafened, blinded, and otherwise harmed using the made up things I didn't do.
Which of those 3 added laws states that anyone who assaults nanotrasen crewman is nonhuman, I only see traitors, changelings, and other types of enemy spyes. As well as ordering the AI and borgs to kill anyone with no ID.IcePacks wrote:you weren't human by virtue of assaulting nanotrasen crewmen

Re: [Icepacks] Nilons - fuk law kil humie
what's the round ID
I assume this is about pax not punishing the borg. Either way the laws are shit. We could assume the borg is meant to meta and understand they refer to requiring confirmation of actual antag status. Not all conditional nonhuman laws are carried out with that level of scrutiny though and this seems like the low end of thoroughness but it's just a loosely defined law. The borg may have also been working off information that made you seem like a traitor. This makes the complaint more about if pax asked the borg their side of the story or what was going on but it doesn't seem like it in your OP nor is it too actionable.

The bottom of my complaint is that he came to a conclusion about things exaggerated/completely made up by him or the other side. As I said above I don't have the round ID. I don't care if it's actionable I just want it on record that he fucked up here

Law 6 there could technically be monkeypawed into "any unknown factor on the crew is a traitor, kill it", thus making anyone with a hint of ambiguity about whether they're a traitor or not automatically a traitor.
If anything this is more on the people who uploaded the laws and the people who told the borgs you were a traitor than it is on the silicons who then go ahead and act on those laws.

Re: [Icepacks] Nilons - fuk law kil humie
No one really told them I was a traitor, as the borg and someone riding it were the ones who dragged me to the brig and declared me a traitor, and if that is the case and I'm missing something I would ask why Pax didn't tell me "Someone said you were traitor and they acted on it shit luck dude"Screemonster wrote:Law 6 there could technically be monkeypawed into "any unknown factor on the crew is a traitor, kill it", thus making anyone with a hint of ambiguity about whether they're a traitor or not automatically a traitor.
