I found this interaction extremely frustrating, and wanted to complain about it as it's not usually how my admin interactions go. Throughout the whole situation I felt treated as guilty and a malicious actor, although I did not and do not act in bad faith. In other situations with ahelps when I make a mistake it's usually made clear what went wrong. Instead of an impartial inquery I was hit with comments like "HoS isn't for you" and a ban reason that made it sound like I harmbattoned someone to death. In reality I made a mistake with an arrested plasmaman's tank, and after removing it during search and replacing it/toggling it on, I falsely assumed they would recover.
Short series of events as I understand them after the fact:
- Make valid arrest
- Plasmaman engineer comes up, slips me and releases the arrestee in cuffs.
- I stun and cuff the plasmaman.
- I accidentally harmbaton, and do it again on purpose because two hits ain't so bad and I'm mad IC and OOC about it anyway.
- Brought to a cell and given 3 minutes. I believe after searching, removing a pocket plasma tank, and putting it back and toggling it back on, THIS is where they were accidentally crit.
- I forget to uncuff.
- They die, I get bwoinked. Head to cells to recover.
- I check cells, all doors are open and they appear gone. (As ghost I could see they were still in the cell dead, hidden by darkness.)
- Bwoinkening continues, at this point I am upset, confused, and a lot of stuff is happening in the round.
- I go into my office and suicide as I am very frustrated, useless to security, and busy trying to deal with the bwoink.
Ban reason: As HoS harmbatoned an engineer who had slipped them while preforming an arrest. Left the engineer critted in a cell until they died. Refused to make the situation right when asked to, instead committed suicide.
