Yes I unironically support this position you say I have stated. I hate this earth and all life upon it because life isn't how I want it to be. Spot on.Um? Okay? So you hate this earth and all upon it because life is not how you wanted it to be where we care for all creatures great and small?
It's a documentary about the uk animal agriculture industry not necessarily torture porn. It probably has some graphic moments.Do you need to post torture gore porn in a spoiler, rather than a nsfw tag and then link to a torture gore porn video, before getting bored and trying to pretend it was all a joke?
Is this all because I wasn't nice to you on discord I'm sorry I didn't mean you any harmI guess I shouldn't be surprised. You were always lazy and your veganism is to grab attention because you have nothing else to talk about in the forums or discord. Hell, when I tried to strike up a little chat with you on discord you questioned why.

It's sad because fish look like fucking aliens and even I can't really sympathize with them directly but there are lots of reasons not to eat fishD&B wrote:How do you guys feel about fish
Fish feel pain. We know that for sure. They remember and react to noxious stimuli and they have social structures
Fishing is totally unsustainable, you probably know this already. There's really no way to meet even a tiny amount of the demand without wiping out our oceans
250 000 whales, dolphins and seals are killed a year in fishing nets and thrown back dead as bykill. They definitely feel pain being more advanced mammals
The majority of what is caught from trawlers is thrown back dead or dying because it's not what they were trying to catch
line-caught means huge long lines of hooks that fish get caught on and dragged for miles by. many are eaten alive while stuck to the hook, often slowly. very sad.
polluted oceans mean build up of toxic metals up the food chain to what we eat is common and has already happened. small amounts of mercury never leave your system and can increase the risk of various long term health problems in the future. We're still not super sure about this but bad metals that dont leave your system is bad.

The fish industry is unethical and overfishing is a HUGE problem. Once society inevitably moves towards aquaponic systems of harvesting fish and vegetables it'll be okay though.

morality argument is the easiest to argue in a dumb forum without me dumping studiescaptain sawrge wrote:>vegans arguing on the principle of morality instead of environmental and economic sustainability

if I make environmental arguments people will want proof and either a. i dump my study load and no one bothers to read it or b. im too lazy to do that
morality arguments are the strongest and studies have shown that ethical veganism is the most robust (lowest level of relapse) over environmental, then health reasons (which has very high relapse because health is ultimately selfish anyway to most people)

For you goons behind the times aquaponics is using the fish poop water to give your plants nutrients while the plant roots and bacteria on your growbed media filter out the waste to return clean and livable water back to the fish

fish feel pain https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/a ... 1138#BIB40
throwing thousands of fish into one area results in a breakdown of their social structures and cannibalism, a shitload of them kill and eat each other in the clusterfuck
diseases run rampant which is bad for the fishies
parasites like sea fleas get so bad they literally eat the skin off of fish resulting in horrible pain and dead fish and living fish without faces
they can hardly breathe they have so little room to move
they're still killed in the same brutal way with beatings, suffocation or cutting to death
10-30% of these fish die before they even get to be slaughtered

Videos of suffering are more shocking and harder to ignore than warnings about problems that are invisible to the average person with consequences years away. We are not evolved for long term thinking like that.captain sawrge wrote:>vegans arguing on the principle of morality instead of environmental and economic sustainability

Also for some reason environmentalism, at least in the US, is somehow a partisan issue so you lose half your audience right off the bat.

to feed everyone you're basically gonna need these fish tanks to be the size of oceans and then you'll need boats to get the fish and oh no you just moved the problem a level higher

I recall in my high school days the only people who cared about veganism and animal rights were radical leftist nutjobs, the kind who went to protest rallies and clashed with the police every other day.Qbmax32 wrote:buckle up boys grayzn is about to redpill us about the Holocaust
Now, when I look on Facebook, those who care most about animals are also those more likely to write stuff like "sink refugee boats" "death penalty for Muslims" and so on.
You can call it shit posting, Godwin's law or whatever, I just call it a trend I noticed.

Some of the "organic" and vegan stuff are pretty costly and not very economically or environmentally sustainable.
Vegetarians are the true ecologists. Maybe some room for the pescatarians.

Organic is bullshit. Ignore organic, it's a scam. if there's a cheaper non organic alternative, no reason not to go for it

No I quit because of uni work I said thatIt's harder to keep friends who shove animals being brutalised in your face. Why do you think I unironically dislike Sticky having anything to do with this community? The last time he made something on the forums that wasn't about veganism was... let's see if I can remember... was about how he's quitting because SS13 wrecks your life wasn't it?
I went to the grand canyon when I was 12 do you mean thatOr going on a trip across Murica?
my life is ok i like it i think I'm happyHe's such a happy, well balanced individual.
sorry you have a weird opinion of me maybe you mixed me up with some other stuff or I forgot some stuff I did but I can't figure out what made you madMaybe if I was in adminbus and there wasn't a drama flick about Sticky not responding to another admin, I'd see him in a different light because even goof comes off as happy when in coderbus.
also your rant about all the other bad things is just an appeal to hypocrisy. You can make a high impact change with a relatively low impact on your life (changing your tendies for vegan tendies instead of giving up your job, not paying taxes, throwing away your electronics and clothes and living in the woods).
Also, though this may sound insensitive, there is nowhere in the world where people are being killed on a scale of billions, confined, tortured, cut up and eaten. Children in factories and shit like that is sad, and avoiding that is part of my life too, but even that isn't as bad as what we pay for to happen in the animal ag industry daily.

I care mostly about the suffering and less about the economics because farms take up a lot of native plant land no matter what animal OR plant they have in them. I mean the lotion stuff going on in east Asia is kind of gross if I remember right
