It's that Family Guy style comedy writing where everything is a big hot irreverent mess that's just one dumb non-sequitur after another.
At least something like Regular Show captures that kind of stupid energy you have when you're running around just killing time and acting dumb with your best friend. There's something to relate to.
Rick and Morty is just nothing. An outlandish premise that launches into you-never-would've-thought-we'd-go-there jokes until 20 minutes is up and it ends.

If you like that hey good for you enjoy but as far as writing and animation goes it's really flat.

In some ways it's like a less self-aware Beavis and Butthead.

Anyway back on topic, I still haven't managed to sit down and watch the new episodes. Where do people watch them? Adult swim seems to old broadcast its shit to the US for some reason, and I really don't understand proxies enough to try that.
