I'd respect the AA a lot more if there wasn't all that religious indoctrination going on.

There's some aspects of the AA I really disagree with, the religious aspect being the main point. The stories in the "Big Book" seem like a load of horse shit for the most part as well, with a lot of the stories in it involving longtime alcoholics who somehow miraculously recover with the power of God and AA while somehow not going through some serious fucking withdrawal and DTs. That said, the community aspect of it is pretty good and it's really nice to have people who have really been in the thick of alcohol and drug abuse to talk to.
