Asshole pulled his gun for no reason, treated some teenagers having fun like violent criminals. I guess those who live in the U.S. are too used to this to see anything wrong with it though.

This situation can be summed up as "We're all human."
People make mistakes, the cop made mistakes, it was obvious he was acting out of his best intentions but actions speak louder than words and it looked wrong. He had dealt with two difficult cases of suicide, he was obviously not in his best state of mind, the kids were being kids, whatever.
