Anyone else watching this new Netflix flix series? I'm 2 episodes in, and it seems pretty damn good. It's like X-Files and Goonies combined. It has a decent plot, good mystery, good characters and acting. Surprisingly the kids (who fucking suck in everything) are the stars of the show, especially the toothless one.
The music is a amazing too, the 80's darkwave new-retro synth through and through.

Gonna watch it later, wiki says it was originally called Montauk - my /x/phile sense is tingling. Montauk was a MKULTRA project in the 80s creating sleeper agents, and tied to all kinds of weird shit like ayylium abduction.
Watched 3 more yesterday. It does go full on MKULTRA. And there's a lot of Stephen King and even Silent Hill as well. While there's some questionable writing here and there, it's becoming one of my fav shows. Up there with The Americans.
Gonna finish up and watch last 3 episodes tonight.

Somehow have traced the source of a HAM radio broadcast back to the middle school. From a recording in some tiny room that somehow manages to record and analyze ALL THE RADIO AND PHONE COMMUNICATION EVER IN REAL TIME USING A TEAM OF A HALF DOZEN OFFICE LADIES. This is not how these electronics and line monitoring works on any level. They may as well just have had a dude slapping a bunch of keyboards at the same time HACKING IN TO THE BROADCAST AND DOWNLOADING THE SOURCE type bullshit.
If you want to write about creepy omnipresent organizations and the invasion of privacy there-of it would behoove you to stop and study how that actually works in the real world and then just mimic that. Not just make shit up.
Otherwise it's great! Great story, great acting, great soundtrack.
