As to Remie's statement about females having more connections between the hemispheres, I can tell you in no uncertain terms that's wrong. The connection is small, ample enough in everyone to serve its purpose, and actually unnecessary. People have that connection severed and lead perfectly normal lives with literally no change in behavior. Apparently both hemispheres independently come to the same conclusions and the only thing the connection serves is to share sensory inputs. Since most input is visual and most people use both eyes to look at things, nbd.

In less research required to be informed news, MPs appear to be one by one coming to the BBC and complaining about how Big Ben is now silenced for four years and how they really think we don't need to keep it quiet for that long. I would say that sadly no-one is explaining what is taking place, but it's not sad to see MPs demand from the news that something already decided needs to be changed because it didn't have the outcome they wanted. Also common as suggestions that it's an omen for a natural disaster that would come and hit a democrat area(?) which will then be helped by Trump and vote Trump in 2020

/x/ mostly considers this to be bullshit, but they are for sure interested in the event as it's a great time for some rituals (Especially pagan and non-popular religious ones), but by itself it doesn't really mean much. But entirely reasonable- The eclipse is probably not an omen of some kind, just an interesting event that has some occult significance for some occult traditions
