For context, this was from policybus discussion on this topic:
viewtopic.php?f=33&t=32116
It's all public, anyone on the Discord can see it at
https://discord.com/channels/3268221442 ... 7912150066 and following through to the Policybus discussion on Rule 0-1. It's buried in there somewhere.
I was highlighting how a laissez-faire approach to LRP restrictions (I.e. - Let everyone do what they want without limitation) can tie the hands of admins to act and force the hands of coders that just wish admins would stop players from doing the same stuff over and over again so much it gets nerfed.
The context behind it is a discussion about how I'm comfortable administrating purely on discretion (Rule 0/1, the topic of the policy discussion). I list a bunch of other admins that have the same qualities. Hulk speaks for himself, I think everyone is aware of Hulk's good reputation as a person that can step up when discretion is required.
Alphonzo also speaks for himself in doing whatever he wants too, but for decidedly different reason. Exavere is also a long-time admin that always struck me as someone highly capable of applying discretion and an admin I hold in high regard. They trained PositiveEntropy with me, afterall.
So yeah, sorry Fonz but I'm not seeing the issue here. You're rash, you jump in without full information and context, you don't think at all before you act, and you tend to go full aggro into everything you do. We definitely don't see eye-to-eye and I don't think I'm anything like you as a person or an admin overall.
Despite that, like me you will do things you think need doing without much fear or worry, fairly confident you can back yourself up on appeal or in a complaint. In the context of a Rule 0/1 discussion, you're like me.
God I can't believe I felt the need to explain this. I know I put in my headmin candidate thread I'm "highly quotable" but I never expected to have to explain
this. Monkey's paw finger curling intensifies, I guess.
No publicity is bad publicity, eh?
