New Unarmed fighting move ideas!
Drop kick: Kick someone back far, knocking you down briefly and stunning and throwing back whoever get's drop kicked. Requires a running start for momentum.
Evade: Jump to the side by 2 tiles to the left or right of you to evade attacks!
Flip: Flipping now costs stamina, but if you time your flip right, you'll dodge bullets, lasers and whatever the game considers a projectile.
Roundhouse kick: Roundhouse kick someone to knock them down and push them back, deals some good damage too.
Punching people in the eyes has a chance to knock headgear/eyewear off. Perfect for the next move.
Eye poke: Dig your fingers into someone's eye, blurring their vision and doing eye damage.
Slide: Slide at someone, causing them to trip, and you'll not be hit by bullets/lasers unless they click directly on you.
Suplex: Get someone in a tier 2 grab and suplex them, stunning you for a short amount of time and your opponent for a slightly longer amount of time.
Uppercut: uppercut someone, doing damage and confusing them, making them misstep.
All of these are martial arts moves that should be built into every spaceman. Unarmed combat is boring and i want to spice things up.

I realize I'm takin meme bait but the game isn't meant to be a combat sim. Also some of this is just stuff that we already have but removed from the items it's tied to, which is sad.
If we're gonna add depth to combat I think it should be through tying more stuff into different items and tools that you can just pick up and use (swing combat is good for this since it gives us more knobs)

waiting for the day one of my superior suggestions is implemented: either we implement turn-based jrpg combat (complete with forming a party) or as soon as someone punches someone else the view shifts to a side scrolling fighting game like tekken 3 with 800 moves per character and a meta so complex it takes on average 6000 hours to get to a competitive level

It isn't really. some have done wireframe sims but s not the same.
Iso is fake, and monster's 3d ss13 was done using a custom webclient or some such bullshit
