I know at least one more person from manuel who is also a vtuber. Beside it all depends on community as for sure some are insufferable. Im almost sure that most of her comminity will do nothing but there might be always some bad apple's. Maybe i should told her about other servers when she asked for a good one that she can stream

I wouldn't worry about it. I think anyone who believes this is going to be another Ssethtide is incorrect - these aren't the same kind of folks as Sseth's fanbase and Jelly is interacting with the game in good faith as opposed to just posting "Guide on Griefing SS13 Servers.mp4".

public bans should be interesting as they unleash thru the delay.

It was funny seeing a borg go service borg to "help" with botany when the streamer was a botanist and then when someone spam posted paragraphs of bad words the borg immediately dragged them away downstairs so they wernt on the streamers screen

I think there is room for someone to quality control the round for a streamer from an ic standpoint even if its just a cute little rat or corgi or something ready to relocate the streamer/something bad.

That way the ic quality control character doesnt actually have any impact on the round for the streamer but they can be an emotional support animal that also drags away people saying things that admins have to click through panels to stop them from doing.




Also having that first round be tramstation was such a meme literally as soon as they left their spawn area they were 1 tile away from getting hit by the tram.

hearing this makes me so sad. don't fuck with a new player was such a low bar to pass and so many couldn't even do that. And yet I'm sure this would happen a second time even after these bans. I think they should try another round more anonymous and then stream it after just so they can get a proper tg experience without people trying to sabotage the stream. Sad that they would have to do it this way though.

this was one of the options that was made available to the admins overseeing the rounds. we asked admins to not run events or do anything that would bring attention to themselves or interrupt the stream, but if they were struggling with gameplay issues, then someone could drop in as a very unobtrusive talking creature to give them IC advice and keep the narrative going.

the biggest challenge was balancing the needs of a visitor with allowing regular access to our shared space for our regular users. there is a lot more we could've done, but beyond a certain point it would be intruding on the normal operation of the game and this was something we wanted to avoid as much as possible. we have a streamer program and it's very good and exciting for these things to happen, but at the same time our game is still our game and we would like for our users to be able to play it normally.

around 22 permabans were placed during the stream, and that number could've been a lot higher but it's extremely difficult to make the call before someone actually does something disruptive. when three people form a crowd in the hallway, as any of you know it attracts others to come over and see what's going on. i didn't want to see regular users banned because they stopped in a hallway to watch what might've been happening, that's just normal human behaviour.

but all in all i think it went very well and i had an excellent time. snoy
