Did they do that right after if it happened? If so then that shows no sense of any basic traits a well-adjusted human would have, and will really have to demonstrate they've changed as a person (unlikely).

The main reason he was banned wasn't about taste in memes. It was because posting it risked getting the whole /tg/ Discord shut down.

i think requiring brownnosing and requiring effort are two different things here. throwing up the appeal not defending or apologizing or even acknowledging the ban makes sense when you don't know what you were banned for, but ignoring it after the fact falls into "very low effort" appeal. appeals are about bans, so leaving out the ban part makes it not so convincing

When a ban is not justified, a player should not have to jump through ridiculous hoops to get it overturned. The burden is on the admin to prove it was justified.

However, this was for a ban that was justified. The content was a type that Discord's Guidelines list as something capable of causing a server to be taken down. That appeal is asking for a second chance despite their behaviour being banworthy.

When asking for a second chance, the burden is on the player to prove they deserve a second chance.

Your appeal has to show that you actually understand why you were banned, that's what they failed to show, you don't have to be a boot licker but showing any kind of actual understanding of the connection between your behaviour and the ban will help
