This I actually agree with. Posting cum is the most boring joke I can imagine, but the idea of admins on tgstation trying to enforce some kind of community moral purity is genuinely beyond ridiculous (doubly so when there's literally no discussion on it).

Why are admins like this? It’s clearly a protest against overbearing, arbitrary and self-serving administration and despite knowing this you present it as something it’s not and seek to minimise it by moving it into the shitpost corner.

I approve of this PR staying open. Code review pending. This PR has been a bane to the admin team and a bane to players. It's funny exactly once, where it is massively funny. Every time they experience it after that, many of the players we want to keep get closer and closer to wanting to quit the game.The grief this produces across the servers is asinine. It is frustrating. There only winning move is not to play. It is the antithesis to good natured April Fool's shenanigans.

I was going to make a full thread on this for general, but I can't find the motivation to go through the drama... even so I'd like to say what I have here. It really seems to be the case that over the past few years we've seen increasingly controlling and far-reaching headmins. It's just a funny game server, so it's not important like real politicians or anything, but it's still really disappointing. The game and community still matter to me and others atleast.
I know the impetus for this is dumb, and I don't really care about the joke itself (it's unfunny). Even so, the fact that within not even half of a week from the start of their term, the new headmin administration have already banned a harmless insignificant joke based on only their personal tastes, is pretty concerning... In addition, there was also not any public discussion about this, even though I think all three headmins have actively advocated for greater community transparency.
I do not think this bodes well for the rest of their term unfortunately.

Just my thoughts anyway.

"tg" never "broke" away from goon, the desire for our own server was simply to take advantage of the released r4407, nothing to do with their rules, which at the time, were way more loose than tg's.
